I just started watching this on YouTube and was like... blocked. Better get over here RIGHT QUICK to see you unaltered and complete reaction. I'm so proud of my friend Danielle Hinde whose company produced this video. Hiro is an amazing director. His work on Atlanta and Barry is unmatched!

Appreciate you runnin' over, man! Actually pretty happy with how the edited version came out, but the uncut is always best :) Hats off to your friendo!! Seems like you know a lot of great people workin' out there. I think I've been consistently blown away by Hiro Murai since I started seeing his name around. Between this and Atlanta, seems like another emerging cinematic force to be reckoned with. Didn't know he was involved with Barry, but I've been hearing great things. Definitely gonna have to check that one out sooner than later!

Yes, Barry, for me, is the closest thing I've seen to a Coen Brothers movie (not counting Fargo of course) that I've seen on TV in quite some time. Bill Hader and Alec Berg (look him up) have created a fascinating show that gives Henry Winkler his best role since SCREAM. You'll love it. My friend's company is www.doomsdayent.com - and as I scour my memory banks, I think I met Hiro through Danielle 7 or 8 years ago. She is an incredible talent. And yeah, the one good thing about getting old is that I've met a lot of incredibly talented folks out there, you and Greg included!

Oh, nice! I feel like I've heard the Coen comparison at least once.. (unless I saw you post about it or something like that haha). That's definitely got me intrigued. I'll give Alec Berg a look, I feel like I've seen his name a pretty good number of times. Been meaning to continue Fargo as well, actually. Episodes I've seen have always blown me away and I love Noah Hawley's grip on that surreal, quirky style. And glad to hear they've got Winkler in a juicy role again haha. You're definitely doing a good job at pitching this. Glad to be included in with the talented folks haha. Appreciate that, man. I'll give Doomsday a look as well, was wondering about that when I saw their credit in the description for the video. That's awesome you got to meet him back in the day. How'd you come to know Danielle?

I knew Danielle through Shawn's band stellastarr. Danielle was repping directors in NY before heading to California so I've just known her for over a decade. <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDdI3ch4slE" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDdI3ch4slE</a> And I "think" I met Hiro. Haha. I have to confirm because this would have been in 2008 or 2009 and I'm not 100% sure she repped him that long ago, but it feels very familiar, this cobwebbed memory I had to dust off. I also met Ace Norton through Danielle who she repped at the time. He's another terrific director. www.acenorton.com Not that you don't have enough to watch. :P

Haha it's all good, dude. Might take us a while to check things out, but I try to keep a list going - always enjoy seeing new voices and things like that. And for now I'll just assume that your memory's firing on all cylinders - cobwebs or no. :P Either way, over a decade, that's awesome! Crazy to think who you might meet just through a friend sometimes. Have you gotten a chance to collaborate ever?

I love it when these things get released. Because not only is it a good song and incredibly well directed, but it has a fantastic message that just shoots through you. No pun intended.

It's always gratifying when an artist can bring out a super-groovy tune and use that platform as a means of shining a light &amp; adding to the social conversation. Needless to say I was blown away when this one dropped haha. Really bummed it got blocked on YouTube, but glad y'all are able to see it here. :)
