It sadly doesn't look like it was a character choice, he apparently changed during the filming of the movie, and would cry in his makeup artists arms at the end of every day, and that he once said that doesn't know how to be funny anymore, can't believe its been 10 years already, he was such a good soul and even when he was depressed he still tried to make the audience happy, RIP to one of the best there ever was.

There actually is another movie, its an animated one that came out in 2022 and follow Larry’s son, Nick as he becomes a night guard like his father

Can we get a shirt of Greg and Jon in animated form as some of the characters in the Trilogy with a bubble caption saying "What are the rules!" Maybe multiple designs of them as different characters

This was a fun journey. I saw the 1st one long time ago with my older brother and some friends. Haven't seen the sequels ever until now. Were the films perfect, no. But damn were they fun to watch. Thanks for doing this
