If you want to see a great film with Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, got to checkout the Scorsese film, The Color of Money, which is the sequel to The Hustler (sequel came out 25 years after the first one). Both films are two of the best sports films ever made. Also, Fast Eddie Felson played by Paul Newman is one of the best characters in film history and Paul Newman’s Academy Award winning role. Make sure to watch the Hustler before The Color of Money though because the backstory of The Hustler influences every decision that Fast Eddie does in the second film. You won’t be lost if you watch The Color of Money first, but watching The Hustler first makes The Color of Money a better more emotional film.

i saw this in the theater when I was in high school. I remember thinking I don't know how Cameron could out do this, then couple years later T2 comes out.. ha. By the way their SEALS, not Marines. As a Navy Vet.. just had to say.. :) and I always thought Mary Elizabeth was great in every role she ever played. Michael B. is great in everything he does too, he's great as the "bad buy" in this but he wasn't really bad, he just lost it due to the High-pressure nervous syndrome. Now his role in Tombstone he was great as the bad guy.. He also plays a SEAL in the movie The Rock w/ Nic Cage, Sean Connery and Ed Harris.

The Ed Harris-Michael Biehn in the washroom sequence in The Rock, rivals the Ed Harris resuscitation scene in this one! - PLD
