It is not wrong with looking at your pictures, bio, and anything else to make changes. I even did a poll asking what do you ladies prefer SD sites or Regular dating sites 🙂 guess what regular dating sites WON. I am not surprised men are more willing to spend money when they feel like a relationship is organic.  Let us also remember different cities' different results you cannot compare the men in Tulsa Oklahoma to men in Los Angeles, California. There is a big difference! Population 400,000 vs 4 million. Then there is the salary different, Also if you dont live in a prosperous area you need to move your mile radius further out.
