Sitting here asking myself, do I? Do I actually love plastic pants I’ve never owned any until now and they’re so poofy and this button design is adorable plus the print is still visible under lights and ahh yeah I think I may have answered my own question

I was nervous to actually give them a test run but I did and here are some initial thoughts:

It's definitely a different experience compared with disposables but the fact that these are shaped like disposables and just have velcro tabs makes it feel similar enough that I feel like I'm actually diapered. I'm kind of between sizes in disposables right now and I love that there's no plastic scratching my skin anywhere. And the way they sit properly on my hips with only two tabs is astonishing. I've never gotten this good a fit in the hips from a disposable as a guy. I got the Rearz diaper cover that's also shaped like a diaper. I've used plastic pants in the past and I even got a pair of regular plastic pants with penguins from Rearz but they just don't do anything for me kink wise other than keep my clothes dry. 😂 The fact that the Rearz cover goes on just like a diaper really makes a difference for me in terms of experience. Because there's no SAP like in disposables, they don't swell up the same way when wet and I kind of missed that, though they do fluff up as you wash them. Rearz says to watch them 3x to get them to maximum fluff before using. In terms of changing, you're going to need a changing pad or mat or something and a laundry bag/diaper pail to store used diapers in because you're not just rolling them up and throwing them away. In terms of washing, I'd say maybe 10 diapers to a load. What I'd like to do right now is start wearing at night and in the summer it's just too damn hot for disposables. Now I can do that and reduce my disposable wearing by one diaper/day which will make cases last longer and be better for the environment. I don't think I'd give disposables up completely because while the hips on these fit amazing, they don't compare as well in the seat/groin area for me. Plus I do occasionally wear in public and disposables are just easier.
