The Sims Daily - Functional Newspaper, Stand, & Subscription (Patreon)

UPDATE 11/28/22:
I have released an updated version 1.0.1 that changes how the newspapers are stored in your sim's inventory. My sister has been testing this for over a week and she said it was super annoying to have so many newspapers in her inventory. So now all expired newspapers "stack" in one cell (so you can sell/dispose of them all at once) and any current newspapers will be in their own inventory slot. Once a newspaper becomes expired, it will go into the stack of expired newspapers. Download the new version and replace.

The Sims Daily mod brings back the nostalgia of Sims 3 with functional newspapers, stands, and a daily subscription service. Although paper newspapers may seem a thing of the past, this old school service is perfect for rags to riches game play since it is totally base game compatible (BGC) and works off the grid (OTG).

There are lots of interactions on the newspaper, BUT they are only available for the current issue. After 24 hours or when the next issue becomes available, the newspaper will expire and you will no longer be able to use it.

• Once a newspaper is outdated, its color changes to a dark yellow and your sim will want to throw it away
• Works off the grid

• Post missing pet alerts (EP04: Cats & Dogs)
• Read festival info (EP03: City Living and/or EP10: Snowy Escape) 
• Check street/venue policies (EP09: Eco Living)

The Sims Daily Subscription

• You can buy the current Sims Daily issue for §2 from a newspaper stand
• You can subscribe or unsubscribe for a Sims Daily subscription through the newsstand or your mailbox if you have an active an subscription
• The Sims Daily subscription costs 1/day
• If multiple sims in your household have a subscription, you will only get 1 issue/day and will only be charged once
• Daily issues are delivered around your mailbox daily at ~9 AM
• If you have more than 5 outdated Sims Daily newspapers on your lot, you will no longer receive new issues until you dispose of the old ones
• Once your sim subscribes to The Sims Daily, you will get a notification and your sim will have a visible trait

I hope you all enjoy! I will back streaming weekly starting this Wednesday (see post here). This month was a bit slow but I wrapped up ALL of my sets that had been WIP from the past year. It feels so good to get them done and queue them up to release for you wonderful friends and also so I can move onto new things... well kinda. There was a BGC Winterfest tree I almost finished last year (see first preview of it here) and I am working on giving that an update to release in time for the holidays!
