Sorry for the  short notice, but I will be at Shooter's Outpost (1158 Hooksett Rd, Hooksett, NH 03106) in Hooksett New Hampshire this Thursday from 3pm to 5pm. The shop owner has a very nice collection on display, and I'm doing some filming in it this week. So if you'd like to stop by and say hello, 3-5pm on Thursday is the time. See you there!

Sounds great, way too far north for me, I'm in N. Fl.

David Morris

I use to go to that shop. I lived just a few miles south of there 20 years ago, but it would be a bit of a drive for me these days.

Anonymous

I’m so there.

Steve Doucet

Thats 15 minutes from me! I'll have to see if I can get there.

Ian F

Drat. A year ago I was working in Portsmouth NH, about an hour away. But since that project ended, I'm now back home in Philadelphia.

Next time you come to Mo. let me know. We have some really neat famous guns at the NRA museum at Bass Pro including Annie Oakley's pistol and shotgun!

Ah, and I just left the Northeast on orders... damn. Have fun!

I am very excited to be there

Can vouch for the collection at Shooter’s. I usually make a quarterly run there. Just grabbed a WASR-10/63 a few weeks back from them.

Very cool, I'll try to make it as I'm right over the border in ME.

You should try to hit the Springfield Armory or Colt Building if you’re in New England. Hit me up if you’re in CT and I will let you know where to eat. The weather has been garbage lately. Good luck!

Gonna have to see if I can get the day off, I'm only 3hrs away in VT.

Finally, you’re on the East Coast! There’s actually an MG Range in Belmont NH and the owner has a full auto Hotchkiss Universal.

Anonymous

There’s also a place to eat next door, meetup and drinks?

Anonymous

Going to be there for sure!! Jaw dropped when I saw this post, you need a VZ58 bipod by any chance? Would love to give you something to remember NH by!! Also Belmont Firearms, not too far has an incredible selection of some pretty rare machine guns. May want to check it out if you have time.

Rick Notkin

I hope to be there. Safe trip.

Robert

Won't make it, I'm afraid. German living in Switzerland, so I'm not allowed to enter the US atm 😆

I won't make it, if it was two weeks later I would.

Shooters has a great collection. I hope to be there, safe trip!

I’m going up there for the Green Mountain Boys MG Shoot this Friday and Saturday

Timothy Conklin

I'm clearing my schedule to be there. Gotta represent the Granite State!

As a CT resident that drives past Springfield on the way to work, I agree. Just a little more south please Ian!

Anonymous

Besides SIG, are there any other shops in the area worth stopping at? For surplus mainly. Want to make my 3hr drive worthwhile lol.

Anonymous

I will try and make it. After all we are squadding together for DB2021

I'm in!

Rupanrx

Boss told me I could leave work early. Thanks

Rupanrx

Thanks again for this. It was really great! I’m the 100 foot party boat fishing guy. We should have a new coi in a couple months. Look up Walsh’s Deep Sea Fishing if you’re ever back in this area. Trip and gear rental on me. I’m the back up captain and owners son.

It was great talking with you Timothy! I'm sorry I had to leave early for a work call. I hope to see the russian book soon as well!

Thank you for the meet-up Ian! It was great to meet you and I hope you enjoy the collection they have at shooters. Some really interesting stuff there.

Dale Farmer

It was a pleasure to finally meet you in person. Thanks for having the meetup. As I mentioned, there are a number of navy forgotten weapons on exhibit in Museum ships in massachusetts that I think would be interesting subjects for future videos. There is the USS Constitution, in Boston. There are a number of forgotten weapons that an 18th century man of war would have that are smaller than the broadside cannons but are larger than the muskets carried by the marine detachment. Also in Quincy Mass is the USS Salem, the last existing all gun heavy cruiser. The 8 inch main battery was the first largely automated heavy gun system that made it into first line service, able to fire each barrel every six seconds as long as the ammo held out. There is also a minisubmarine on exhibit there from WW2. Down in Fall River, Mass is the USS Massachusetts, in WW2 configuration. Also on exhibit is a recently restored PT boat, a WW2 fleet sub, Fletcher class destroyer, and former East German navy soviet gunboat in cold war configuration. Lots of material for videos there. from the 50 cal mounts on the PT boat, hedgehog mortars, soviet era automated gun system, and more.

So sad I missed this. Hope the next time you happen to be in NH you can schedule a meet up.

Hey Ian, love your channel and appreciate your work.

Hey Ian, love your videos and have been watching for a long time. I'm curious to what extent was the Mondragon self loading rifle was actually used by the Mexican Army. Was it actually issued in large numbers and was it actually used in any combat? It seems to me that Mexico would lack the industrial capacity to actively produce and equip one of the first self loaders around.
