Roth-Steyr 1907 at the Backup Gun Match

http://www.patreon.com/ForgottenWeapons https://www.floatplane.com/channel/ForgottenWeapons/home Cool Forgotten Weapons merch! http://shop.forgottenweapons.com Posting a couple videos on interesting versions of the Roth-Steyr pistols recently made me think about just how nice of a pistol the 1907 is to shoot, So, I figured I'd bring it out to the monthly Backup Gun Match. Alas, I had ammo from two different lots, one of which would not reliably cycle the gun. This led to a lot of malfunction clearing and a pretty dismal score... Contact: Forgotten Weapons 6281 N. Look at the bright side, Ian. You got to practice your "immediate action" to prepare for the next time. Cool gun.

Feeling your pain. SGAmmo is showing 113 gr FMJ in the black/dark blue box in stock. No idea if that's what you'll actually get if you order.

I can also recommend Reeds Ammunition (https://shop.reedsammo.com/). They have made 8mm Steyr in the past. When I last checked, it was out of stock, but I have had some luck requesting a particular caliber by email in the past and they have responded by doing a small run when scheduling permits. They’ve also never charged my card on a back ordered item until it ships. Not the cheapest option but also not insanely expensive.

Ian, is there any chance that you can help me out to determine if there were ever any Roth Krnka(Steyr) made without serial numbers? I have the opportunity to purchase one but there is no trace of a serial number and my pistol licensing department does not want to add to my license without one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Standard production ones should all be numbered, but there are some oddball preproduction ones out there. Can you email me some photos (admin@forgottenweapons.com)?
