How Did I Get My Guns to Finnish Brutality? Polaris Logistics.

http://www.patreon.com/ForgottenWeapons https://www.floatplane.com/channel/ForgottenWeapons/home Cool Forgotten Weapons merch! http://shop.bbtv.com/collections/forgotten-weapons I took my own Finnish M39 Mosin and TT-33 Tokarev to Finland for Finnish Brutality, along with a WWSD-2020 carbine. I've gotten a lot of questions from people wondering how I did that, and the answer is Les Winner, of Polaris Logistics. Les handled all of the paperwork and shipping, and he also joined us to shoot the match. So, I took a few minutes in the evening to chat with him about how the process works. He has made the process so much easier than the other importers I have tried to work with, and I am very happy to recommend his services to anyone who is trying to move guns across the US border. You can reach him directly at: les.winner@polaris-logistics.com Contact: Forgotten Weapons 6281 N. Oracle 36270 Tucson, AZ 85740

$1000-$1200 is a lot less than I would have expected for them to import to the US, and if you could find a rare enough gun, completely worth it

My uncle bought a Winchester 101 in Japan at a PX to be shipped to the US. When he died ten years after he retired from the army he still had not been able to get it from the government. All it takes is dotting a t or crossing an i and you are screwed.

I totally thought his name was "Les Winter" from your other vid mentioning his name, which I thought was ironic given the location/subject lol

It seems that importing a Tiger from Canada would be the perfect example. Unfortunately, good luck getting a Form 6 . . . that just proves it's even more complicated.

Thanks Ian, good info to have.

Does everyone in Finland live in a log cabin?

You would think if he bought it at the PX it would still be considered sold in the US and be ok to bring with him when he moved back

Good to know.

Tiger in man's clothing

It should have been included in his household goods. I knew a number of soldiers I served with who brought back firearms purchased overseas and they didn't have any troubles.

How happy are you with all the remote responses? I've been impressed with everyone's effort, and using everything from blank-firing Vickers to Airsoft to pellet guns to bow & arrow all the way to 50BMG, everyone seems to be sticking to the spirit of the challenge.

Towards the end of the conversation, engraving was discussed in passing. Is he suggesting that firearms imported by an individual for personal use are required to be engraved just like NFA items? As in, I would have to engrave my name, city and State on the firearm if it's imported on a form 6?

Unless you are an FFL, importing it for personal use, and have the import permit in your own name - yes, it must be import marked (which sucks).

Too bad we can’t get a semi- version of the Finnish service rifle....
