I'm pretty sure silver bullets are for werewolves, not vampires. Did the lore change when I wasn't looking? Here in Jakarta there is a myth about a folk hero who was shot and killed with a GOLDEN bullet back in the 1890s. So I guess that'll be my question for the next Q&A. Also, Linus called you out in one of the WAN Shows (his weekly livestream) for being one of the most active Floatplaners.

Fuck Linus. He was one of the several Youtubers who I supported when no one knew who he was, who later became big. He’s an ingrate imo. All he cares about is money. And no, there’s been no Mandela Effect regarding werewolves. They’ve always been killed via silver.

Elbonia is growing a following Drac just gave me a thumbs up on my request to do their Navy and The Chieftain just ordered their armour 🤣

I have several vintage bayonets and most are not knife sharp. Especially, the one for my Chassepot. How sharp were bayonets normality, If I sharpen it, will it loose some of its collectible value. So far it works fine to “sabre une bouteille de champagne.”

YouTube is telling me the video has been removed by the uploader.

Sorry, I was juggling two different versions until the last minute, fighting YouTube. I have the correct link there now.

Okay, thank you thought you might have ran afoul of the youtube stasi.

Bladed weapons were often issued unsharpened in the 19th century. Not just bayonets but also swords and even lances. The idea is that you get these commissioned blunt, keep them in storage until such time as they actually need to be issued to troops, then have the unit armorer or bladesmith sharpen them prior to deployment. If it remains unsharpened it may mean it was either never issued or never issued to a deployed unit.

Laying off the booze, especially the hard stuff, before the sun's over the yardarm is a really good rule to live by. But as an alternative to booze, well each to their own, but I personally would go for, well pretty much anything, other than vinegar, garlic & whole crap load of peppers . . .

Actually... Werewolves have only been affected by silver bullets since Lon Chaney played the Werewolf on the silver screen. Traditionally, skin changers like werewolves can be killed by normal weapons.

You answered my question, but under my old name for a facebook account that has been closed. I found it interesting that Tiger In Man's Clothing got to you when I have posted the same question in the Patreon feed. On a side note, the same question was answered a week later on a podcast I listen to, also using Tiger In Man's Clothing as the questioner.

As someone who has wanted to become a gunsmith for a long while, a True gunsmith is a master wood worker and master metal worker, and also an expert marksman. The real art of metalworking to the specific level of the "old masters" of gunsmithing has been industrialized and even automated in many regards, and the options for training along gunsmithing specific lines of metal work has been minimized and redirected to industrial operations. The level of woodworking involved in fabricating truly fantastic wooden features to firearms is an Art and will never be able to be industrialized in the same fashion the metalworking aspect has, but again has limited avenues for learning. To end up with a True Gunsmith, you need someone who knows metal, knows the finer aspects of woodworking, and also has a solid knowledge of ballistics and how to properly and precisely apply them...

Also, along the lines of old firearms and proper gunsmithing... Are things like dye penetrant, magnetic particle or ultrasonic testing commonly used or is it more limited to visual inspection methods?

Andrew Sebastian

Ha! For some reason this made me wonder how Chinese Mystery Pistol makers inspected and proofed their products. Surely there must have been some way to convince the local warlord that the gun works so please don't kill me, please please please.

Ian, thank you for your words on see-through grip panels. And thank you also for the fun fact on the Japanese LMG. Everyday really is a schoolday.

2021-08-14 02:32:01 Hey new member, is this where we should put our questions for future Q&A videos? If so my question is what is your opinion of the 3 rifles and their new types of rounds they plan to use left in the US competition (NGSW) to replace the current US weapons? And which of the 3 do you think will win?

2021-08-14 02:32:05 I will put up a new one of these posts to request questions for the next Q&A when I'm getting ready to film it. That said, I don't think any of the NGSW guns or cartridges will actually get adopted.
