Looks good. I giggled at the name though. Hehe... bish.

Your dog is very polite. My dogs would have just gone for it, consequences be damned.

Ethiopian is great food! And fun date food too

The bread is called injera. Ethiopian food has a unique spice palette. My wife occasionally makes it. There are seldom enough leftovers...

Nate

This looks a way better than the last food episode I saw 😆.

Definitely go back once it's open to in-house dining. The experience of using the 'plate' as the utensils is a blast by itself, and the food is super yummy. By the end of the meal you've got these spots of the plate/bread that are all soaked in food juices, which is awesome.

Oh man there is an Ethiopian food place near me that is really good. Dang now I want to eat there again. Last time I even tried a raw beef dish. Yes...raw beef.

David Morris

I went to an Ethiopian restaurant in Georgetown (in D.C.) and it was one of the best food experiences I have ever had. I have since been to two others in other towns and was sorely disappointed. Perhaps I can try that one next time I'm in town.

Good Luck. I hope you have a strong stomach.

In Casablanca there is an offhand mention that Rick Blaine was a gunrunner during the second Italian-Ethiopian war.

When you get a chance to dine-in try the coffee service, if you like coffee.

As a friend said while my Cocker Spaniel gave us his best pitiful look (and he was really good at pitiful looks) "How can you sit there eat in front of that poor hungry animal" (smile) BTW--- good dog---

I wish ethnic restaurant would put pictures next to the descriptions.

Anyone else noticing how utterly dapper Ian's white streak in his hair is?

Matthew F

just shoot for anything and it'll probably be good. in my experience at least. It's fun

Looks good! Makes me want to try Ethiopian now. Good looking pup.

That dog was perfectly on cue! "Beef" DOGGO APPEARS

Ethiopian food is generally terrific. We have several good restaurants in Northern Virginia. The bread is probably injera, sort of spongy flatbread that picks up the sauce and flavors while you eat with it. Yours looked a little thinner than what I am used to but maybe it’s just the effect of video.

The bread is called Injera (in jeera). I don't think that I have ever had bad Ethiopian food. You know typically the beef dishes are served raw.

Matisse Enzer

Great family style dining - all the dishes in middle of table and shared.

Lostngone

I smell tax write-off here... 😂

Injera. (crepe) Ethiopian food is something else. Thanks for sharing, Enjoyed your dog sniffing, very polite to not just gulp down your food. We're stationed in Stuttgart so there must be an Ethiopian joint in this international city - we may have to find it.

The Art of the Reel

According to google there are two Ethiopian restaurants in Tucson. Which one did you go to.

Anonymous

The Injira (crepe) usally have a "smooth" side and a "bubbely" side, one use the side with the holes/bubbles to scoop out food as that allow for much more of the sauce to be lifted. Also one injira is used as a plate, so the sauce is poured on top of it.

https://youtu.be/N0sCBK2xd_E You probably already know about this since C&R just posted a video but just wanted to raise some more awareness. PayPal is making dodgy rulings on firearm shaped patches and maybe someone with your reach could help out even more than C&R.

I'd love it if we had some Ethiopian restaurants in my area.

My better half was wondering why we never see your wife, I'm assuming it's for personal reasons, safety?

david weilbaecher jr

not everyone likes gun commentators, and not everyone wants to be on the web... though i am curious ... but respect y'all's privacy. in any case, doggo is wonderful.

david weilbaecher jr

to be clear, my wife would commit a violent act on me if i were to post a pic of her.

I don't own any Ethiopian guns, but I have definitely been to Ethiopian dining.

Fruitbat44

Well, that's an interesting bit of Apocrypha, and I now know what Micheta Bish is.

Anonymous

I love Ethiopian food. My favorite is to get the vegetable combination platters.

Anonymous

Ethiopian food is awesome.

Where I went to college we had many students from around the world, including Ethiopia. Every year we did an International night, and the students would prepare traditional foods and show some of the things from their home cultures. The Ethiopian food was always outstanding.

The red spice blend that shows up in a lot of Ethiopian dishes is called berbere, and yeah, it's delicious. Damn, now I want yemisir kik wat (spicy red lentils), metin shiro wat (spicy ground peas), and gomen (Ethiopian-style collard greens), and there's no Ethiopian restaurant in reasonable driving distance of here. I think I have a cookbook from my favorite restaurant the last place I lived somewhere around here; I may have to dig it out and see if I can at least approximate their level of deliciousness.

Anonymous

Mmm. Now I want some Doro Wat and Gomen with Injera.
