Adventures in Surplus: A WW1 & Weimar Police Kar98a Carbine

http://www.patreon.com/ForgottenWeapons https://www.floatplane.com/channel/ForgottenWeapons/home Cool Forgotten Weapons merch! http://shop.bbtv.com/collections/forgotten-weapons I have been wanting one of these rifles for a long time, and with this example I think I have found a fantastic example. This is a Kar98a carbine made in 1918 and used in World War One, and then refurbished by the Weimar government and used by police forces. It probably remained in police use through World War Two, eventually brought to the US as a souvenir of an American soldier. This is a great example of a rifle with many decades of individual history that can be read from its markings and characteristics. Contact: Forgotten Weapons 6281 N. Oracle #36270 Tucson, AZ 85740
