It was where The Prisoner was filmed.

Brian Reddeman

Well Ian, do you drive a Lotus S II? If so I might be a bit worried about where you stay. :)

Anonymous

Ian, wait 'til you drive through Lancaster.......

I grew up with re-runs of that show, but I didn't ever watch any of the 1st shows and could never understand what was going on. He'd escape, the bush would spray knock out spray and he'd come to in his room......seemed like every week that was the plot. hehehe

You are the new number six!

Hi Ian! That's right down the road, so to speak, from me! Next time you're coming to Central PA, perhaps a meetup with the local fans?

Anonymous

Remember it well, also it's precursor "Secret Agent Man". They left me with an affinity for Lotus Super Seven's and turtlenecks. Watch out for "Rover"!

You should visit Portmeirion next time you come to England Ian :)

If you’re still in Lancaster and have some time you should check out the Strassburg rail museum near there. Or the mid-Atlantic air museum in Reading.

Beware of Giant White Balls

Bruce Brodnax

And the Mini Moke taxis

It's a creepily common kind of suburb around here. It like they are trying extra hard to make everything look not exactly the same and it give it an uncanny valley kind of feel.

That place is pretty creepy.

The prisoner village still exists you can visit it if you are bored.

John S Wren

I highly recommend a stay in the Portmeirion hotel. Waking up in "the village" is quite an experience. Handy for the Ffestiniog railway as well for those of us who love steam trains!

Stephen Woods

Who is number 1? You are number 6.

Ian, just keep your eyes open for big white balloons!

Anonymous

That's just the way our neighborhoods look in PA
