So, going to open up to you all a bit on my kinks: artwork doesn't do it for me.

You've all seen that meme online (Twitter usually) where the artist posts "What pictures of mine have you fapped to?" You won't see me post that. I feel like, to me, those are the first two rules of Gnome Club:

1) You do not talk about fapping to my work
2) You do not talk about fapping to my work!

But seriously, I follow a LOT of transformation artists, most of them make sexy work. But it's not something that stokes my kink.

Writing, on the other hand... (other hand... heh.)

Not going to get into crude details about it, or talk about which writers are my favorites, but it's always been writing that is the biggest source of "fuel" for me. Maybe it's because it allows me to engage my own artist's creativity and can inspire me to create something new. Sure, art can do that, but it'll always be a bit derivative.

But even on a raw, sensual level, writing has always worked -better- for me. And I think it's because the stories build first before the "gag" of the TF comes. They're almost always genre stories first. And so many genres!

Sure erotica, but also comedy, slice of life, adventure, scifi... even horror... it's all really ripe settings to build transformation kink into.

It works for TF because transformation scenarios are always in genres like comedy, scifi, horror... and not in erotica. You didn't see a lot of that kind of thing in porn from the 90's. So maybe because we're used to being turned on watching a transformation scene in a non-sexy movie, we can just read "kink" that doesn't really have much actual erotic text and just enjoy the ride.

Anyway, so now here comes my question: Which genre is best for TF Horny? I don't want to get into whether the subject wants it to happen or not (those usually go hand in hand with the genre (comedy and horror are generally surprise / non-cons at first, for instance). Instead. I have a list of some fiction genres below, which I think I've seen tons of TF and expansion kink work tap into. So of the stuff below, what do you really like?
And, comment below if you like art or text better!

QUESTION: Which Genre Brings the Horni Best?

When it comes to what gets me going, I gotta see what happening in front of me. And either with action, comedy or romance.

Writing always does it for me too. Sure, some pictures to go along are nice, but a well-described transformation is gold.

For me I honestly think it's about 50/50 between writing and art. Art is more visual (of course) but I agree how writing can give you more setup and lead in.

Mm ... I would say for me, it's a mixture. But, also ... a groovy piece done by an excellent artist who does work for me, either as a gift or as a commission, can often inspire something. It could be as simple as a slice of life to something that actually happened. Or even strike the fantastical. <3
