Patreon first of the month stuff, Sales Taxes, and announcements! (Patreon)

Hey, all!
So, just a thanks to all of you who stuck around through the first of the month. Thanks EVERYONE for my most successful month for Patrons! According to Patreon, I had -29- New paying patrons! And, while there was some fluctuations and leveling which is typical when the end of the month comes around (and people re-evaluate things) most of you -stayed-. We're up from around 70 before the comic to nearly 90, now, and we're not done by a long shot. So thank you!

There are going to be some pretty big changes this month. I'm going to re-work the tiers and benefits to something more sustainable, and in keeping with what I want the Patreon to be. It will mean the introduction of some medium tiers between Sleeper and Dreamer, for those looking to me for something specific. But more than that, it will hopefully mean getting back to more engagement with you all.

A little house keeping first: Sales tax. I'm sure you all have seen several posts about how sales tax may be affecting you and your pledge here. After reading what Patreon is up to, they're actually taking on a LOT more responsibility than they probably need to, and should be lauded. They're being conservative with how they're taxing, especially since State laws on taxes are incredibly murky (I work for a place that creates tax promotional materials. Laws are hand-waved in, and sorted out later when shit falls apart).

This is boring. I looked into itemizing all the benefits, but at the end of the day, the few pennies that it might cost, I felt, is just the price of honesty and living in a free society. So, I left it to their algorithm and trust no one is going to get horribly dicked by the process. Look at it this way; you're probably paying less tax on my work than you would all month on fast food. Hopefully it was at least as satisfying as that McGriddles you had yesterday, or whatever. So, moving on!

I'm going to get more engaged with DeviantArt. I was under the mistaken impression that new faces are coming from Twitter, and while I can't say for -sure- that my poll here was scientific (most of you who spoke up were folk that have been with me for a while) it's clear DeviantArt has been neglected, and it was my home for years. That said, it's not a great place to promote anymore. Journals, Polls, and Status updates are buried. So, I'm forced to use the Gallery for promotion, which is a little gross.

I'm trying an experiment, which is to place teaser images with commentary from Jester (Silk's companion). It'll be an advertisement for the Patreon, sure, but it'll maybe have a little more entertainment value to it as he jokes about what's coming up, does a little tongue-in-cheek ribbing of our little family of kinksters, and all-in-all makes the sour taste of advertisement go down a little easier. Eventually, I hope to turn this in to a mini video slide show, to make it a bit more engaging and even twitter-friendly, but baby steps.

The changes to the tiers are going to drastically alter some of the tiers, particularly the Morpheans. I just don't have time to do a full illustration that doesn't add to my growing Aetherverse world. So, the TF pinups will be out, but don't worry! Anyone who has one coming, you will still get the reward you signed up for! Eventually. It's just going to apply to new morpheans.

July is going to be full of changes, hopefully changes that will be good and that you'll embrace and maybe be excited for. My ambition is high, even if it is still just a labor of love, for now. With your help, I hope to grow it even more.
