Yep. It makes more sense why he feels that way compared to Ruby. He was a child with the kind of an adult so he’s taking that way more seriously. And he was the only one who saw Ai die. If I remember correctly they said the paramedics and cops shielded Ruby from seeing the body so Aqua was the only one who saw her light go out

I also don't think that he shared his possible revelation with Ruby about their father cause he even said right before he pieced it all together that Ruby would bounce back from this. That she has that courage and drive to be like their mom to keep her positive. He didn't want her to go down the same route that he is headed cause he knows that it could be the end of this life eventually.🤔

yeah in the manga the cops blocked rubys vision so she never actually saw what happened, whereas aqua says how he "could feel ai's body growing colder". they both got serious trauma from it, but there are levels to it lol
