Just Another Josh

From this point on, absolutely nothing remains unchanged. It's a nonstop ride that just constantly gets better and better. One insane plot twist and the entire series flips on its head. I enjoyed Bungo before I read this arc, but everything that happens from here on just blows everything else out of the water. There's a massive tone flip from this moment on and it stays in this serious tone for 90% of everything happening since. It's darker, it's more serious, and it's FAR more brutal. I was typing up a clarification to the line about Yosano's (the doctor) backstory, right as you two went back to double-check it, lol. That being said, it is the first time we've actually had any lines about her history. Until now she was an important member of the team for her power, but little else was said. This is the first time they start to hint at her past.

I can't help but wonder if the page they are using from the book is the same book that Fitzgerald was looking for in S2 to save his wife. It sure sounds like it. Now I wonder what part he and the Guild are going to play in all of this! ^-^

Solivigant Kaiba

You know what's funny, its that it wasn't until we got to this arc that everyone in this fandom remembered what the whole premise of the show was about. Like I forgot about it but It was that book. It wasn't just about different villains every arc, but that everyone was after that book. Well, besides the Port Mafia funnily enough. Unless I missed soemthing.🤣oops Like even Fitzgerald mentions Atsushi is the 'guide' to the Book itself which was the plot in S2.🤣🤣

Daisuke_Takahiro

Good to know that I am also on the right track cause I was wondering the same thing! ^0^

Solivigant Kaiba

Lol, yeah. im still giggling from forgetting about it being the whole plot of Season 2 and the Guild. 🤣🤣🤣

Daisuke_Takahiro

I think that cause a lot of people don't see that arc as significant cause it was mostly a vehicle to intro new characters that were taken out fairly easily. Honestly it is my fav season and arc...but for a few different reasons. ^0^

Solivigant Kaiba

Really?? Are there really people who see as season 2 as an important? Huh I never knew. Honestly though, I think a lot of the reason why people are going to be whiplashed with this arc is because Studio bones really messed up with this series. We are just their least favorite child they're always rushing and packing and cutting things up to fit it all in 12 or less episodes that its messes up the pacing and/or goves off the wrong impression of the arc and/or characters.😮‍💨

I mean you are not wrong at all on this one. The guys even said that BSD is gonna get passed over for any kind of award which is ludacris in the idea alone. I have been told to check out the manga several times, but i don't want to yet cause right now i don't have a different opinion on the anime like readers do. Someone I know was hoping that this season would be the same as the one they did the stage play about in Japan which was Beast I think. I just still want to know how the Guild fits in all this and what Fitzgerald will think about the one page floating about.

Solivigant Kaiba

Well, whenever you do decide to check out the manga, spin-offs, and light novels you'll get answers. Thats all I can say without spoiling. I just left it go now cuz being upset gets you nowhere. But it is frustrating. Just, dont watch the Op. Good Lord, the spoilers they put on there can only mean they are probably cramming things that have no business being here this early or smth.😫 But yeah, the manga/novels are def. better

Daisuke_Takahiro

Sorry for the late reply, I was doing anime catch up, I have like 6 on Weds and i hadn't watched Bofuri yet. ^0^ Appreciate on no spoilers and as for the OP, I never get any of the hints in them honestly. I am either too busy enjoying the music while doing something else or I skip it if i don't like it. ^0^ I'll get to the manga at some point and yes, I do read spin offs too, but i have not ventured into light novels at this point at all. Just not ready yet. @~@

Solivigant Kaiba

Thats ok. And not worries about the reply, I too am doing catch up on the To Your Eternity manga atm, lol. I also havent watched Bofuri yet either. I have no idea what its about but I'm also catching up on YaBoiRoshi gameplay🤣

Daisuke_Takahiro

Ah I watch them too along with YaboyRocklee! I just watched Roshi's reaction to BSD and man was Lupizon upset! ^0^ It;s a pretty action packed ep of Bofuri and like Maple isn't being her usual self at all!

Solivigant Kaiba

I also watch YaBoiRockLee lol and I dont know who Maple is but I hope she gets whatever pep in her step back 🤗

Daisuke_Takahiro

Ah, I was referring to the chick in Bofuri, but I just realized you meant the whole anime not today's ep! ^0^ Yo, RockLee is watching Eminence in Shadow and man do I love those reactions! Both he and DNasty have the same love for that anime as I do! It really is a diamond in the rough and it sucks that next week is last ep!

Some assumptive elaboration on Nikolai The Jester: He 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙙 to die. Like, he’s probably been wanting to. As for why he felt the need to join with Fyodor to do that, I am not sure, but everything he said about birds and flying free and cages equates to that which humans are unable to do. He envied the govt man bc he was like everyone else: oblivious to how brainwashed society has made him and other people, of how “caged” they were in their heads. If u remember, before he died, he told the agency that “this was his escape from the physiological brainwashing called morals/morality”. Nikolai isnt caged, yet at the same time he is. He’s one of those people capable of seeing past the black and white, to the point where the concept of morality doesn’t make sense to him, yet even so, as he said, he still had emotions such as guilt to speak of. In this manner, u could argue he was still caged. Morality concerns itself with right and wrong, but when morality doesnt make sense anymore, what is right and wrong? He claimed he was sane, but its thoughts and confusion like this that make a person like himself to come off as insane, because they speak from a grey area where their words are often received as insensible to those who adhere to a moral code, something that defines life for them. Without that code, things dont make sense anymore. TLDR: Ignorance is bliss, but Nikolai wasn’t capable of being so ignorant.

I think Dazai used his ability to stop that cursed doll thing that made the city inhabitants attack each other.
