I mean a terrible death can be an awesome death from someone’s perspective. I feel like the future devils intent doesn’t change even if the wording is different from the manga.

I don't think it's too soon for "that." Granted, as far as the exact order of things, there should be some things coming before that, but not much. But I think they're just teasing the next arc, especially for us manga readers.

Kind of wish they went with a 24 ep first season, I feel like this is the worst part of chainsawman and a lot of anime onlies are going to wonder why this show was being hyped up so much

The wording is incredibly important. The manga wasn't merely "your death's going to suck", it's "you are going to die in the worst way possible". The wording is exactly what's so important about it. Especially because they didn't just poorly translate it, they translated it in a way that completely loses ALL of the significance and menace. "You are going to die in the worst way possible" isn't even remotely similar to "your death is going to fucking rule". A death that "fucking rules" could just be him going out in a blaze of glory, while a death in the "worst way possible" suggests something far worse. The intent changes drastically between these two translations, even ignoring the fact that "your death will fucking rule" is not even remotely close to what he actually said in Japanese. He literally says the word "saiyaku", which means "the worst". Not only is it a choice that loses the malice and messes up a later plot point, but it completely ignores what the Future Devil actually said and is just a blatantly incorrect translation. The translator just made something up that they felt was in character for the Future Devil, instead of translating the actual words.

This definitely needed a 24-episode run. CSM's 100% at its weakest during these starting arcs, meaning so many people are going to think the hype it got was undeserved and might not give season 2 a shot. The problem is that manga readers often think of CSM as everything International Assassin and beyond because that's the bulk of the REALLY good stuff. Which isn't an arc we'll see until the second half of season 2, at the earliest. These early arcs aren't bad by any measure, but they absolutely do not live up to the hype the series was given by manga readers who know what's coming next.

Gonna miss watching this with you fellas, hopefully we get a quick season 2 announcement. Good way to end the season. Loved that we got a sneak peak of my favorite character.

Personally I think Manga ppl gotta have more faith. Like if you cant already see this show is gonna be one hell of a ride off these 12 eps alone that might be their own fault. Im anime only and its been a while since a anime captivated me this much.

Sad to sit and wait for more Chainsaw, but yeah, let Mappa take it's time with this. The season was fire, can't understand what people are whining about. Now I'm just waiting for them to do their thing with the last of the new big three, Hell's Paradise. Personally, that one may be my favorite between this and Jujutsu Kaisen. Definitely has the best pacing and it's a finished story to boot. Luckily, Bleach comes back during the summer along with JJK, so not too much of a wait. Plenty of time to catch up on Goattama :D

I respect Kobeni for being the hate/annoyance character. Better to have a character you can dislike and or be annoyed at than have a general dislike spread among multiple characters.

Well, fantastic animation and beautiful visuals really help with the hype. And 12 different artistic ED's as well. And any anime-only with common sense can presume that things can only escalate based on the events of this first season. And pretty much what Skipz said as well.

Not to mention MAPPA also has One Punch Man S3 on their plate now. I appreciate them picking it up instead of JC Staff, but damn. And they have an isekai dropping next season.
