In 7th-8th grade we had a group of guys and you had to steal the madras-print button-down shirt and khaki slacks that was their surfer-uniform in order to join. There were 6 of them. I only knew about this because one of the guys lived next door to us and my younger brother was a friend.

Why is waning to be or being a painter a tick in the narcissistic column?

I’m curious about this too - is he thinking Hitler must have wanted to be a “famous painter” and fame in general is a tick in that column? I could see that. But if it’s just artists in general - that seems like an unexpected correlation.
