I’ve been an ‘on again, off again’ member of the LDS church in Australia for about 15 years. I love so much about the church, particularly the community it creates. I guess because I am on the outskirts I’ve never experienced any coercive control or other cult like behaviour in church. When I listened to part one I was kinda hurt by how harsh you were being on my church. Then in part two I reminded myself that you know your stuff and there must be a reason why you are so furious at the church. I’m really mad that hurt people are hurting other people and using religion as an excuse. Faith is a beautiful thing, I just wish people would stop using it as a weapon. I hope you’re doing OK Kirk, it sounds like this one has really gotten to you ❤️

Thank you so so much for getting angry about the hatred geared towards the LGBT+ community. I felt so relieved and happy to hear someone be so passionate about the issue. My eyes welled up with tears of joy knowing that you're fighting the good fight
