I think you guys were looking for the word Irreverent. When I studied DBT I remember Marsha using the word irreverent, as the way that the therapist needed to be responding/reacting to the "dramatic" or significant ups and downs of the DBT group members or while engaging in DBT type treatment. Tacky word could have fit into that type of irreverent response!
