Game Patch Incoming (Patreon)

Hi everyone!

If you're not already aware, there is a large update set to drop today (March 14th) for The Sims 4. The update brings a brand-new lifestage, infants, and will be followed by a new expansion pack - Growing Together - in two days.

This is probably going to be a pretty large patch which affects nearly all parts of the game, and you should be aware that many mods are likely to break with the patch. Script mods, UI mods, gameplay mods - even cosmetic things such as CAS items have the potential to be broken due to the new lifestage. Updating mods may take modders several days (or longer) to complete.

If you don't want to deal with broken mods, or don't want to take a break from playing for several days , I heavily recommend not patching immediately.

To avoid being forced to patch, you should make sure your Origin/EA App:

1) Is not set to auto-update games.
2) Is set to offline status.

Most of my CC is CAS-related, and I don't anticipate it will be too heavily affected by the patch (fingers crossed). If it is, I will try to get it updated as soon as possible.

As an aside, I'm doing better and have been looking recently at returning to Simdulgence. I'll see how things go with this patch/mod updates and take it from there. If you've messaged me during my hiatus, I'll try to respond to you soon.
