It was inevitable but here’s the deal: if You couldn’t tell already, I have an itch to work on other comics (ALONGSIDE LUCKY!, don’t worry-) but I had told myself I wouldn’t allow myself any extra time during the month to do other projects until I met HIGHER Patreon goals, because I didn’t want to get distracted from my current lucky schedule/output, or take away any extra time from my comms/rewards. And I still don’t intend on magically messing with my existing schedule layout as it is: 2 comic days a week, 3 comm days a week - but I DID notice a trend (A Trend I’m  even fighting with today) and that is: 1. I’ve started relying on my comic days to catch up on comms/rewards when I fall behind during the week and 2. KNOWING that I have that security to use the comic days for comms has caused me to be lazy with my comms schedule during the week and that’s not beneficial to. Well. Any of my output. Less disciplined with comms means slower turnaround times -> Using comic days for comms means less comic work done during the month -> I feel burnt out and wondering why I’m spinning my wheels in the mud.

THIS IS ALL SELF INFLICTED, I stop holding myself accountable to keeping my comic days strictly for comics and it backfired. And it came to me because I was looking at my monthly productivity and thinking, “What’s keeping me from doing extra things for fun here and there without overloading my schedule?” PROCRASTINATION.

”So, what are you getting at, Caez?” Ultimately, I’m just workshopping an end of the month ‘reward’ so, if I finish my Lucky! update with a week or two left in the month, and stay MOSTLY on top of my comms/rewards/etc, I’ll use 2-3 of my end OC the month comic days to work on one of our other projects.

I’m kinda already decided on this, because I want to make more progress on The Collection, even if it’s slow, and I NEED to do more Dagger + Dakota/MotW one shots  (maybe even an occasional rogue tier oneshot) but I want y’all’s input in how to do this moving forward.

(And these will only be for the months that I’m on top of my lucky updates, so far, July was more relaxed since it was my bday plus a huge barrel of family drama)

if you’ve read this far: there is ONE sure fire way to guarantee I work on each project every month - help me get these Patreon monthly goals met wink wink The next goal is 1 Lucky! Episode plus 1 Oneshot comic (plus one requested print!) each month! The goal after that is BIG: 1 Lucky! Episode + 1 The Collection Episode each month ooooooohhhh
