hello loves! 

aaaa happy new year! :3<3 what are some of your goals for this year? in 2020 I'm inspired and motivated to pursue my interests with great earnestness and to act on whatever I feel drawn to. this month's piece is inspired by my burning love for suns, moons, and stars. I feel endlessly inspired by their unknowable nature that has led humans throughout time and space to conjure up great beings that serve as explanations for forces that are deeply powerful. 

solstices are the times on Earth when the days are longest and shortest. to me they represent a turning point, a change in life that can be imperceptible, but is nonetheless built into our survival. this piece represents that exaggerated night and day, a celebration of life and death, constant renewal as time marches onward.
