how are you doing? I hope you've been well! we're in that time of year where the holidays are gonna come quick and steady so I'm sure it's a busy time for most of you! 

ahh, our first month back to postcard-only rewards. I think the timing was perfect, considering Inktober and general life changes. I wanted to draw something to get into the autumnal mood (other activities have included baking pumpkin bread and lighting candles). Fall always reminds me of cozy interiors, warm drinks, and of course those delicious Fall colors~ plenty of warm tones balanced out with grey-greens and deep maroons that bring an instant sense of comfort. I've made it a goal to get better at drawing objects and interiors so I wanted to practice that in this piece. I also thought it'd be really cute to have a couple of ladies, rather than the usual...one lady, gathering together to bring in the new season. ^^ plus, it's nice drawing super domestic scenes. there's something very soothing and calming about them~
