hello my loves! ( ´͈ ॢꇴ `͈ॢ)・*♡

I hope you've been well and that the summer is treating you kindly thus far! I've been going through some BIG life changes recently. I'm in the process of moving soon and drawing has taken a bit of a hit unfortunately! ;w; I've been processing a lot of thoughts and feelings surrounding home, becoming an adult, and planning for the future and it's led me to emotional exhaustion at the end of most days. xD in transitory moments like these, I remind myself to focus on one day at a time, one moment at a time even. that way things feel much more manageable. and fun even! ^^

above: sailor moon! got an idea for this sketch while reading a book and immediately took a mental picture to draw it later.

I borrowed a cool book from the library called The Sartorialist that compiled a bunch of fashion photos from the blog of the same name. it was a blast to the past since I used to visit that blog daily back in high school and seeing how fashion has changed since then is wild. I sketched a bunch of things from the book for practice, it's nice to brush up on your skills and sketch from reference! ^^

clothes, one of my favorite things to draw! I love drawing all the different folds and wrinkles and long lines that flatter the body.

a bike! I would bookmark every photo that featured a bike in it, I must like bikes a lot more than I thought....

hands!! my mortal drawing enemy! I think I've gotten better at drawing them over the years? they're still a mystery to me for the most part...

I love both of these poses so much, they explain so much about who these people are!

+ + +

I hope you enjoyed these sketches and thank you so much for your support! I have really exciting news to share soon (I don't want to say anything until everything is finalized), but I do still want to thank you for your support and kindness that has led up to this moment. you are the ones who have made what I do for a living possible and I'm deeply grateful each day for these opportunities. I love you lots and thank you! <3<3<3

Got so happy when I got a notif from patreon and your weekly sketch dump! I unfortunately couldn’t make it to your shop opening but seeing this now made my day (night in my case ☺️) ✨✨

All your work is so lovely. Is it bad of me to be encouraged that you have a hard time drawing hands? I find them almost impossible. I'm working on them, but they always look like the worst parts of everything I draw. In any case, good luck with the move!
