I'm really excited to share this month's pieces because I wanted to try something new, y'know, really spice things up a bit (yes it's still witches but I love drawing witches just let me have this). At the beginning of the year I had written down to improve at drawing backgrounds and I am doing my best to see it through. It feels scary working with the unfamiliar, but I've learned to embrace that feeling rather than shy away from it. Besides, it's fun getting to learn new things! :D tis the simple zest of life. 

Above is the postcard for this month. I really felt like using a lot of blue this month, a color I feel like I haven't spent enough time with. I wanted to convey the feeling of calm and serenity I feel during sunsets and sunrises. Like, even if you have a really bad day or had a tough night, when you watch the sunset or sunrise...those problems kind of melt away for a bit. I love those small moments of magic in life and try to enjoy them to the fullest when they happen. 

And this is the sticker for this month! Again, I wanted to use the gorgeous colors at sunset to add drama and magic to this piece. If I could bottle stars and sunsets, I would, just so I can  stare at them all the time and enjoy their beauty. But then I wonder if part of their enjoyment is found in their distance and mystery. Maybe it's best just the way it is~
