Hope you had a good weekend! What did you get up to? I spent Saturday in a beautiful botanic garden filled with fields of poppies, tall redwoods, and stunning views of the surrounding mountains and ocean. It was spectacular to put it lightly and truly made me appreciate the beauty of our planet in new and deeper ways. It made me realize that I want to dedicate my life to nature and preserving its thriving state along with art. It is my life journey to explore and appreciate the two in all their special ways! 

Above: I'm very intimidated by working with greens and blues, I can never seem to make them look good together. So, I plunged myself into the deep end and practiced painting photographs of blue skies and green fields. I actually really enjoyed working with green and its various rich shades of chartreuse, teal, and olive just to name a few. I'm still not used to it though so I'll keep practicing!

Hair color inspired by a beautiful sunset I saw yesterday evening. The softest pastels you can imagine...it was breathtaking. 

My first time drawing reptiles! These were challenging, but a lot of fun as well?? I can't believe how vibrant and stunning these animals are, their colors are just..../muah/ perfection. It's so cool to see such electric colors in nature...Also, I've never noticed this until now but snakes have lil :3 mouths and it's really cute?

Sooo I'm in love with Twice's new single What Is Love? (also what is new I love all of their singles) and the album cover was so cute I just...I really wanted to redraw it. OTL I'll be doing more sketches based on the music video this week, too many cute outfits to pass up! 

More kpop woohoo! Sketches of Red Velvet from their Peek a Boo era. I'm tempted to make these into stickers, but we'll see how it goes. >u> I love how creepy and serious they are in this concept and I'm excited to finally get around to drawing it! (I'm always late with kpop aaaa)

One of Beyonce's looks from her Coachella performance this past weekend! I haven't seen the full performance yet (only photos), but my god...my queen looks so good.

A modern day Kiki! I love her original look, but it was fun coming up with something new for her. I changed everything, but the bow. I just can't get rid of the bow, y'know? It's iconic.
