Geek History Lesson just released THE MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL FOR REAL THIS TIME in a two part series Jason was very excited for us to produce for you here at the end of our eighth year of broadcasting. This upcoming weekend is our final recording session for 2022. Of course we have the DOCTOR STRANGE HOLIDAY SPECIAL to record, as well as a Movie Retrospective and another Geek History Lesson staple. It’s a busy time for GHL at the moment! Minutes before starting to write this Patreon Blog post Ashley completed our first draft of the 2023 GHL schedule!

This week the Geek History Lesson Blog sums up our convention series for the year. You can read We Went to … Los Angeles Comic Con right now! The GHL Blog has been a real learning and growing opportunity for us since we launched in February. We’re going to be doing a lot of reflecting on what folx enjoyed reading, what we enjoyed writing, and requests! As with the main podcast episodes if there are any questions you have or any geeky queries you would like to read our long form answers on feel free to drop a suggestion here in the comments!

Geek History Lesson Extra highlights some of the incredible guests we have joining the amazing talent we have joining us. Jeremy Skinner informally kicked it off in November when we crashed our Muppet Christmas Carol x Batman Returns episode. Film critic William Bibbiani graced us this week, next week we have a GHL staple making his premier on both the main and Extra episodes, and the week after we have a returning guest kicking butt and bringing comedy back to the pod. We know you are going to love everything they are bringing!

#MarvelClub is almost at a close! Yesterday we recorded our penultimate episode with filming for the final episode probably making its way into the swing of our massive GEEK HISTORY LESSON production weekend. Which means two more episodes coming your way in the short weeks before the year is over. Keep your eyes peeled wide for these video installments headed your way.

The latest Jason and Ashley’s Excellent Adventures is back-back-back-back-back again and possibly for the final time. Last week we dropped an episode in the feed titled “What’s Next?” and we are asking the question in earnest. The show is going to evolve and we are looking to tailor this evolution to what you would most like to hear from us. Put your producer hats on and share any thoughts you may have! To quote Frasier Crane: “We’re listening.”

The Jawiin Discord has had tremendous community growth since its debut earlier this year! As the year winds down there is a full-fledged RPG Group actively campaigning, an all-digital Secret Santa just began to celebrate the holidays, and exclusive sneak peeks into the production of SUPER BEST FRIEND and AURORA AND THE EAGLE have been shared. If you’re looking for the most fun you can have on the internet with us there’s no better place than the Discord!

This year has been full of ups and downs. Candidly, for us, there’s been some heavy downs. So much of the love and positivity we have experienced has come directly from everyone here. You have helped to pull us free of dark times, creative holes, and abject confusion. Your support is a gift we can’t fully express or quantify. Thank-you for being here and thank-you for being you.
