Happy Hallowe’en month!

As I am writing this blog we are two-and-a-half weeks away from JUPITER JET AND THE FORGOTTEN RADIO hitting shelves all over the world. Barring any more Covid delays we’re about to be up to our elbows in rewards, packing, and jetpack girl adventures! We are very excited to get her out in the world and to receive first reactions from readers.

Here is a friendly reminder that if you’re a Kickstarter Backer there’s a good chance you have access to a digital copy we sent out months ago! As you probably know, October is the month before November and November is the month we traditionally do the JAWIIN COMIC DRIVE FOR SERVICE MEMBERS. Last year was our 5 year anniversary, we did a huge in-person live kick off event in partnership with Collectors Paradise, and in light of the pandemic we have spent much of 2020 going back and forth about whether or not we can even DO the drive? Is it responsible? What is the safest way to do it? Should we just leave it be?

Get excited for the JAWIIN CHARITY DRIVE FOR SERVICE MEMBERS! Instead of shipping physical items to physical locations or dropping physical items off at locations you may not be comfortable visiting we are taking the whole thing digital!

Saturday, November 14th, 2020 we will be doing a 5 HOUR LIVESTREAM EVENT with the goal of raising $5,000 (that’s $1,000/hour), to donate directly to Operation Gratitude. We already have some outstanding celebrity geeky guests on board - more announcements coming in a video here soon! - prizes to auction off to the highest bidder every hour of the stream, interview questions to write, and trivia games to craft! We promise you it is going to be the most fun we can have together for a good cause from the safety of our own home!

In the past our Super Friends have always been some of our most ardent donors and greatest supporters. I hope this year you will go on this new journey with me and I thank you for supporting the Drive as it has to evolve.

But in times of Covid-19, we decided it was best to keep the event virtual with social distancing measures and CDC recommendations.

Geek History Lesson dropped our latest JAMES BOND episode on Pierce Brosnan which was an absolute blast to record months and months ago when we were initially doing our massive JAMES BOND rewatch. Following that we have MERA with MERA: TIDEBREAKER scribed DANIELLE PAIGE joining the discussion episode, followed by 2 more episode with 2 more Super Secret Special Guests! One of these episodes is highly anticipated and Ashley is very nervous to hear everyone’s opinions on it. Feel free to share!

The latest Jason and Ashley’s Excellent Adventures dropped a little early in the patreon feed and highlights yours truly. As a companion episode to the topic of True Crime from a few months ago I discuss my love of Car Shows and get into topics that pique my interest outside of the traditional geeky fodder you are probably used to. By the by, if you have any other auto show recommendations besides what I mention in the episode feel free to drop them in the comments section - I need something else to watch in quarantine!

Blackest Night Club is about to be 9 Episodes deep! Yesterday I confirmed a SPECIAL GUEST LANTERN who will be joining us for a Mailbag Episode. We’ve been teasing bringing other people onto #BlackestNightClub (possibly creatives who worked on the event …), and it is about to happen, Super Friends! If #BlackestNightClub is something you were interested in, but haven’t pulled the plug on it yet I can’t recommend keeping your eyes peeled for the announcement when it comes. This is going to be a fun one!
