Hey Patrons,

This blog post has been written and rewritten in the past few days. These past weeks have been a time of great change and upheaval and I appreciate you sticking with me and continuing to support everything I’ve got my hands on.

Plus, June is my birthday month! It’s a small thing, but that always makes this a special month for me, personally.

In the month of June we continue to offer free-to-you .pdfs NEW COMIC BOOK DAY offerings! Local Comic Book Shops are opening up (in various capacities), all over the world and we’re running toward the end of our catalogue, so June may be the last month. This remains to be seen.

Speaking of comic books …

JUPITER JET AND THE FORGOTTEN RADIO is done! 100% complete! We are currently looking at digital distribution to our Kickstarter Backers (be sure to read the updates we share!), and we’re moving into solicitations and the questions surrounding physical production. If I can write candidly, Action Lab, our publisher, has furloughed a number of employees which has slowed production and left a lot of creatives hanging in the balance. No matter what happens JUPITER JET AND THE FORGOTTEN RADIO will be published, but things are a little crazier this time around than they were with volume 1.

A reminder that if you missed the JUPITER JET AND THE FORGOTTEN RADIO Kickstarter and still want to get your hands on the book or select rewards:

The JUPITER JET BACKERKIT PREORDER STORE IS LIVE!!!

This means Non-Backers have an opportunity to get their hands on some of the Rewards AND Backers have the opportunity to add anything they missed.

PATREON ACTION TEAM BACKERS we read out on a recent GEEK HISTORY LESSON episode! If you heard your name read out sound off in the comments section of this blog!

There are just a few days left to nominate SCIENCE! THE ELEMENTS OF DARK ENERGY for the 2020 Ringo Awards!

VOTE HERE!

VOTING ENDS SATURDAY, JUNE 20TH!

The Ringo Awards are incredible because LITERALLY ANYONE can vote! If you do, please be sure to email a confirmation screenshot to geekhistorylesson@gmail.com and you’ll receive a special Thank You!

This is your monthly reminder: If you read SCIENCE! and liked it - or if you read SCIENCE! and did not like it - please leave a review:

Geek History Lesson has had several programming changes over the past month! GHL SUMMER MOVIE CLUB is in full swing with MARK ELLIS (Collider, Schmoes Know), returned LIVE with us on Saturday to chat BATMAN BEGINS. We’ll be rounding out this series with X-MEN (2000). Originally, X-MEN was supposed to precede BATMAN BEGINS, but we felt very strongly about hosting our BLACK HEROES MATTER episode with BRANDON MARINO (We the People, Automata), that released this week.

I donated to BLACK LIVES MATTER on behalf of GHL and I would encourage you to match my donation if possible.

Speaking of podcasts … on this month’s Jason and Ashley’s Excellent Adventures we discuss our relationship to the True Crime Boom that has swept across pop culture in the past few years. One of us is really into True Crime, the other has a passing interest at best. There’s a venn diagram between geeks and crime junkies and we get into that as well.

Blackest Night Club is about to be 5 Episodes deep! That’s halfway through this year’s video docuseries exclusive to patreon. Last month our very first MAILBAG episode went up! We teased a new format type for our second MAILBAG EPISODE and are in the process of getting all that in place.

Secret Mail Level supporters will be receiving books this month! Ashley and I have curated a collection of reading material we love and we know you will too. Shipping was over this past weekend and they’ll be in your hands soon!

Collectively we are going through a growing process personally, socially, and in the comic book industry. It is my pleasure to keep creating for you and with your help. Remember Ashley and I are always endeavoring to do our best by you and to learn ourselves. Thanks for staying in my corner. It means the world.

Thank you

Jason Inman
