Man you guys were hitting it when it comes to tragedy of these characters. And it's so crappy that most of them are utilized for one, maybe two great stories. I never thought about the Joker aspect, that everyone wants to write their Joker story. There probably is really something to that 1. Two-face: Agree with you Jason, there's something beautiful to how Harvey and Bruce's use to be friends and intertwined with each other. 2. Bane: I love that he is the anti-thesis to Bats. When first reading Knightfall, I was floored by how he was more than just muscle. I'm super happy Tom King is bringing that back into the run 3. Hugo Strange: I adore him as an OG Golden villain and has managed to still be around like Joker and Catwoman. I think there's so much great untapped potential for a great story aside from Strange Apparitions or the Monster Men. But from what we get in the Arkham Games and the few great stories. I really love him as a concept. 4. Hush: He's nostalgia for me. Hush was one of the first comics I read and I've always loved the idea of Bruce having a childhood friend. One that resents him and is pushed over the edge. I think Paul Dini did some great work building on him in his Detective and Gotham Knights run. 5. Mad Hatter: I think he's a cool concept, and I agree with Sal. There's something kind of sad about him especially reinforced by the Batman animated series.
