Uncanny X-men 136 came out August 1980 whereas Crisis 7 was October of 1985. Is this a case where the copy is more iconic than the original?

Comics are always copying each other right - especially between DC & Marvel. The Doom Patrol came out 6 months before the X-men and essentially share the same premise, but X-Men is much more popular.
