Hey Patrons,

Happy (Lunar) New Year! It is now the Year of the Pig, which is supposed to symbolize abundance and plenty and that’s definitely true for us here on the patreon. We have already began implementing our supporters at a variety of different levels’ most obviously through the MIND UNIVERSITY PRODUCER series of videos that we’re preparing to debut soon and to a wider supporter base by opening up the GEEK HISTORY LESSON BOOK CLUB to every support we have here.

Let’s begin with a little recap: since December we have been rolling out a lot of Posts and Polls here about changes that were coming to the patreon and this month is when we were first able to implement them. $1, $5, $8 & $15 levels all have new rewards, each reward got a new name and a new description on the main page as well, so be sure to check those out when you have the time.

First off let’s jump on the Live Appearances train! Ashley and I will be tabling at Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle, Washington in March. We also have had a panel approved that we will be releasing as part of the Geek History Lesson Podcast Feed afterward. We’ll also be appearing at Wonder Con in Anaheim, California at the end of March and while we won’t have a dedicated table there, we will be signing at a few different locations over that week. Look for a full announcements or TABLE NUMBERS, PANEL LOCATIONS, and all that fun stuff in the March Blog.

Crisis Club registration launched February 1st and the response has been awesome so far! Ashley and I have recorded the FIRST TWO EPISODES and passed them along to our amazing editor Adam who has been building the elements that are going to be integral to the series going forward. Those episode will be coming directly to you at the end of this month and all the cool swag will ship at the beginning of March.

Geek History Lesson returns from our very first ever hiatus with our JASON INMAN lesson, which patrons already have access to here on patreon! A recent post announced our next four topics and some of the guests who will be joining us for those episodes. February is also the first month we are incorporating our BOOK CLUB! We’re reading BLACK VOL 1 (which you can get here: https://amzn.to/2WJYO6o), so leave your comments & questions on our original post (here: http://bit.ly/2Gowv7W), for a chance to be featured on the episode! You have until FEBRUARY 22!

Science! about halfway done! Production has sped up and we are getting into the really exciting part - at least on the writing side of things. In our recent Kickstarter update I shared a fun panel with Tamsin (our protagonist), and Garyn (her love interest), enjoying an ice cream together like the wholesome teen scientists they are.

Ashley’s Individual Comic Book Project is going to be launching on March and she’s planning to share more with you here before the rest of the world get’s to see it. Check out concept art below of her new protagonist, AURORA (drawn be artist: Emmanuelle Chateauneuf):

As for my Comic Book Project, if you did what I suggested at the top of this post and reviewed the New Tiers on the front page you’ll see exactly where Super Best Friend is going to be appearing beginning in a few short months.

Speaking of things I’m writing - I’m almost finished with the second draft of Super Soldiers a.k.a. my super secret prose book. Once that goes to the publisher they’ll decide if it’s ready for publication or whether I have to take another whack at it. After that I’ll get pre-order links, publication dates, and exciting things like that to be able to share with you here. I also got the outstanding news that the publisher has elected to turn Super Soldiers into an audiobook! What is so cool about that? Not every book they publish gets the audiobook treatment. I don’t have a ton of details on it just yet, but I am so excited and had to share it with you all!

This week we released our review of Arrow’s 150th Episode, The Flash, and Black Lightning AND, as mentioned above, we shot the FIRST TWO Mind University Producer videos. If you donate at the $15 level or higher, be sure to check your patreon inbox because that is where we are asking you for QUESTIONS & DISCUSSION prompts. Comments were positive to the Game of Thrones question I threw out in last month’s Blog Update, so Ashley and I are going to be reviewing the final season when it drops on HBO in April.

Super Friends, you have always been so good to me and as I’m taking bigger swings and inviting you to be bigger parts of my projects I’m so grateful to have you all at my back.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Thank you

Jason Inman
