My general thoughts, on this book, is that it does not know what it wants to be. The artwork and the black and white scheme, i think blends well with the overall vibe, butt the story is all over the place. It is a mish mash of matrix with the "chosen one" witch i m so tired of reading/see, with x-men with social inequality and super powered black people. Also, it has to many characters and none of them have enough time to develop. I don't entirely understand what this universe "professor x/morpheus guy actually want, or why the other organization is really that bad.

In the end, i don't really get why Khareem wants to be a super hero, or why he forgives the super hero black operation team where only black people can get in,or why he is now called X, the majority of them, knows who he is. The villain is a generic white corporate guy whit a big white sword?? There is a side story with the female cop, Waters, that goes nowhere, first i though, she was going to be more integral to the plot, butt not really. All in all, i m a bit disappointed by it, don t really think ill buy the second volume, butt an interesting read nonetheless. No actual question, just wanted to say my opinion :)
