Hey Patrons,

Happy December! Welcome to the last month of 2018. Whether you’ve been with us for the entire year or are new to the patreon this month, we are very happy to have you. Thanks for supporting us!

Another quick thank-you right off the bat: if you donated to the 2018 Jawiin Comic Drive for Service Members thank-you for helping us smash our goal of 15,000 comics. We are currently tabulating the final count of comics donated to Operation Gratitude and will be releasing a video with the final count soon. Keep an eye on our Youtube Channel for that.

Speaking of the Channel, you might have noticed the Saturday Morning Show tapered off. That’s because our production schedule on other projects has ramped up. The DCTV Elseworlds Crossover is happening next week! We will be covering Arrow and The Flash, like we do every week, and we’ll be covering the Supergirl episode this round as well to make sure we get the full story. The shows will shortly be taking their midseason finale for the holiday season (Black Lightning already had its midseason finale episode this week), and we’re toying with the idea of doing prediction videos for what we think is coming up in 2019. Let us know down in the comments section if these are something you would like!

Science! is now officially halfway scripted! Yay! The line art is catching up and we’re almost ready to start getting pages colored - which is a very exciting step for us, always! If you donated to our Kickstarter campaign, please be sure to monitor the e-mail account attached to your donation carefully because we’re in the full swing of fulfilling rewards - especially high tier rewards. Ashley and I have to write 10 more pages by next weekend to keep our production on schedule, so cross your fingers and your toes we will meet this deadline. Even in the midst of this we are both in the early stages of individual comic book projects, but keep those under your hats and watch this space for the first announcements when we are ready to share them!

NaNoWriMo has put me in a really good place with my super secret Prose Book and for the first time since I began writing it I can see the finish line of my first draft on the horizon. Hopefully I’ll be into revisions early in the new year, which should be a much faster process because I won’t have to do any research! You wouldn’t believe how many comics I’ve had to read to put this together. To be fair, it’s largely been a very interesting journey, and I’m grateful to be working on this right now.

Geek History Lesson has recorded all of our episodes through the rest of 2019. Everything is edited and finished except our Holiday Special (ft. The Doctor Strange Show). It requires more production than our typical episodes ... as tends to happens with these episodes. This week was TOP 5 SPIDER-VERSE CHARACTERS, next week is BEST AQUAMAN STORIES, and the week after that is the HOLIDAY SPECIAL. If you watch the feed here regularly the topics were announced in a previous post. As we do every year, Ashley and I will be taking the week of Christmas off. We have family coming into town and want to enjoy sharing time with them. As has also become a tradition, GHL will be returning with our BEST OF 2018 episode. If anyone wants to start a betting pool about what makes our list we do not endorse it, but that sure does seem like fun!

SUPERMAN MOVIES won patreon poll (as voted by you!), for which series of films we’ll be tackling in 2019 for our Movie Commentary series. We’ll release a full list of titles we plan to watch and probably some polls where we need clarity. If there are any guests you’d like to hear us chat Superman with feel free to drop us a comment. You know we love bringing nerdy friends onto our Commentaries!

Whatever you might be celebrating (or not celebrating), I hope you have a cozy, reflective end of the year. We’re planning exciting things for 2019 (including more live appearances if everything works out), and I am so incredibly grateful for each and every one of your who continues to share in this crazy, creative, geeky journey with me. More twists and turns to come, Super Friends!

Happy Non-Denominational Winter Festivities, Patrons!

Thank you

Jason Inman
