Hey Patrons,

The time has come, the robot said, to talk of many things - but especially comics! I want to jump right into Science! at the top of this update. You’ve seen exclusive glimpses of it here on the Patreon, especially through these monthly blog updates. After almost three months of continuous prep here at Science! HQ we are prepared to launch our Kickstarter campaign.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12TH, 2018 - New Comic Book Day - is our launch date and you will be able to head to www.ScienceComicBook.com donate to the campaign and pre-order your copy of Science! along with a plethora of cool rewards! More than JUPITER JET, this really is a pre-order campaign. This Kickstarter campaign will be the only place that you can get Science! If you have enjoyed our previous comics, the excerpts from my Superman books, stories we’ve pitched on Geek History Lesson or even my Twitter account it would mean the world to me if you elected to pre-order our Original Graphic Novel: Science!

Patrons will also get a special bonus reward shipped to them as a thank-you for not only supporting us on this platform month after month, but for getting in on the ground floor with our heroes: Tamsin, Garyn, Sally, AJ, Rosie, and S.T.A.T. So if you donate to our Kickstarter, please send us a message on Patreon to claim your special prize!

If you can’t donate, we understand that as well. If you would consider sharing the campaign on your social media (www.ScienceComicBook.com), that would mean the world to me.

This week’s Geek History Lesson is a discussion episode that I am leading called BEST IRON FIST STORIES!! We’re trying a new format with our list episodes where we try to convince the other host to dive deeper into a character that they don’t have know too much about. If you like this new format, please let us know and we’ll continue with more episodes in that vein in the future. Feel free to leave suggestions about other characters you would like to see get the same treatment. We posted some of the future Geek History Lesson topics a few days ago for patrons to peek at AND I assure you that two of the recent character voices will return in an upcoming Geek History Lesson Extra. Ashley and I hope you enjoy it!

We’re still deciding what our next Movie Commentary is going to be, so keep your eyes peeled for a poll where you can have a say in what that is going to look like and whether or not we’ll be having a guest for the next installment or not.

Ashley and I are also considering a Video Game Livestream where we will play Star Trek: Bridge Crew. Let me know what you think of this. I’ve been really enjoying doing more live content for the Youtube channel. Including The Saturday Morning Show in a regular rotation has let me have fun with the content I’m creating - something I’ve struggled with a bit recently. Being able to interact with people directly has been so much fun. Doing the aftershow here directly for patrons is up there with Geek History Lesson Extra as one of my favorite reward levels. The feedback I’ve received from that show is overwhelmingly positive and I thank you for showing up and participating in not one - but two - new live shows. You all rock!

We are continuing our goal of reaching 75K subscribers As Soon As Possible, so if you are enjoying the new content we’ve been rolling out we would appreciate it if you would share all the JAWIIN goodness with a friend.

Fall is right around the corner and the show I’m working on is about to start shooting. This, combined with Science!, means that I have a number of crazy things all happening at once. I want to thank you all, again, for the suport of all these wild things …

… and I’ll leave this blog update with a cryptic non-announcement that I’m going to have other projects to share with you in the upcoming months. (Prose Book Stuff!!) They are very cool and I’m very proud of them. Hopefully you will be excited too!

Thank you

Jason Inman
