Mercreature Ghost (nsfw)(CoD) (Patreon)

I'm kind of in a bit of an art rut right now. I don't know what the problem is, but coming up with interesting thinigs is really hard. I did a lot of brainstorming for some pictures of my knight boys but yeah, everything else is kind of a struggle. Oh, also finished some commissions as well. So in general I was drawing. But also, kind of struggling with coming up with something nice for you guys.

I did have an idea for a kind of creepy deep sea mermaid version of ghost that kept me busy. When I finished it I'll admit that I absolutely hated it, but now that I opened it again today I kind of like it? I made a color alternative bcs I think I'm not vibing with the original (the warmer reddish version) as much anymore. But yeah, I liked going wild with the designing aspect, even if I don't like everything about it anymore. Something about the anatomy of the first one is off, so I'd maybe redraw it after some anatomy practice. I've been lacking in studies the last two or three weeks and I feel like I always instantly forget the arm muscles if I don't refresh that knowledge regularly. 

I like the idea of reverting the usual folklore for him. Usually ppl get saved by the mermaid, Ghost probably catches you unaware and pulls you into the water XD It's what I wanted to show in the first pic but I was too lazy to look for a proper ref so I think that is what is lacking. Maybe him heaving himself up on the rock woul've looked more threatening. Maybe I'll actually try my hand at it again when my brain is less scrambled.
