A tale of two Princes - fanart illustration (Patreon)

While the outlines of the May illustration are currently a struggle for me to get through (straight lines and folds take a lot of precision that I currently lack), I decided to try a more painterly piece to have a different drawing task when I was not able to do outlines. Like taking a break from the big thing to work on something smaller, less important.
It was also nice to experiment, I found a nice tutorial on how to do a more gold foil like effect instead of something rendered for the crowns and the filigree in the background.

This is another Witcher fanart piece. Weirdly enough, when I was not able to draw I started to write a bit this week. It is just unpolished, a Witcher AU to keep me busy. But it is nice to give my hands a break.

There is not much to say about this piece as far as proces goes. I made a very messy sketch, which is unusual for me because usual this kind of sketch would not be enough for me to feel confident. But since I was going to paint the flowers anyway I wanted to keep it loose. Then I did the outlines, I tried to be a bit more loose than usual with them, and then I painted.
