Sketchbook Sunday "Gharial Edition" (Patreon)

Do you remember when I said I needed to just sketch more in my sketchbook and that I am too tempted to paint in it? Well, nothing has changed.
I was working on this one on and off whenever I had time and the sun was out this week. The paper warped a bit because I overdid it with the watercolor washes but I still like it and because the pink gouache (it's the Opera color of the Holbein Acryla paints) will probably not be able to be scanned (neon colors can't be scanned really) it's not so bad that I did a fully finished illustration in my sketchbook. I also used silver shimmering paint for all the metal bits but it does not really show on this pic. Gold is much easier to capture through pictures than silver.
This blood hunter is inspired by Gharials that are gorgeous critters. I really like their long and slender muzzles, they are so fun to draw. And I'm not drawing enough reptiles anyway. Do you have a favorite reptile?
