Hi Everyone!

I got some fun work to show with the Mimic Chest!

While it was planned that a playable build release was to come out today. I've had to postpone the build to release tomorrow instead.

The reason was that I need a few extra hours to just bug fix and test out all this chests work as much as possible. I ran out of time today for that quality assurance.


1: What's New?

All this week was spent towards getting the Mimic Chests in game. From creating the artwork to animating it and then scripting the game-logic needed to make it interactive.

Here's a Gameplay Video that shows all the different chests in action!

The main attraction for this week is the Mimic Chest! Which will hide itself as a Puzzle Chest and then spring to life once the player interacts with it.

From this the player has a limited amount of time to try and escape before they become trapped within the Mimic. Where it will tease the player character and drain its Willpower.

The player has to smash the movement and action keys quickly in order to "Struggle" free and escape the Mimic!

The Mimic model right now is basic but it can be recolored and added to. So I hope to make a number of visual variations of the Mimic, like a tickling version and oral version. 

This work on the chests and mimic will be present in tomorrows build!


2: What's Next?

I'll be driving towards some polish work for the next week to finish up all this chests work I've done over August.
