Greetings Patrons,

I've spent the last week in code world, working on some new features for Custom SoundPad. This is a preview page which will disappear when it goes live.

NOTE: This page shares all your saved SoundPads and scenes with the live site, so any edits you make here will affect the current live Custom SoundPad. To be safe, you can make a few throwaway SoundPads and scenes for testing.

The link is at the bottom. Please don't share this with the internet at large :)

Keyboard Scene Launch

You can now use the keyboard keys 1-9 to launch scenes instead of the mouse. The UI shows the key on the upper right in the saved scene area. Hit the corresponding key and launch the scene. Hit it again to stop the scene. This works the same way it does for mouse clicking the scene. Mouse control of scenes is unaffected by this and you can use both/either method.

Scene Re-Ordering

Now that we can launch scenes with the keyboard, there needed to be a way to choose which scene was launched with which key. Clicking the Edit button now allows you to drag the scenes into new orders. (Just a reminder, you can also drag and re-order the sounds) This new scene order will be remembered when you come back to this saved SoundPad. You do not need to re-save the scene after re-ordering.

Scene delete buttons

The red x next to each scene is now hidden by default. Apparently a few of you were accidentally deleting scenes. In order to delete a scene, click the Edit button which will reveal the delete buttons. This is consistent with the way the sound UI delete buttons have always worked.

Better Inter-Scene Fading

By better I mean, it now exists. Before, switching between scenes was an abrupt transition. I finally figured out how to do a subtle fade so that it's less jarring.

Thank you as always for your continuing support.

Best,

Tim

This is awesome, thank you! One request for future consideration, could we please include the music suite of songs to pull from in constructing our soundpads (instead of having to go back and forth to the home page)?

Hey there. I haven't used Tabletop Audio in a while since I haven't been GMing, but I continue to support as I'm very impressed with the rate of updates and new content additions. Thanks for making this!

Works very well. Nice transitions with no "audio cliffs". Easy to use. Keep up the great work! (PS. The Tabletop Audio TriBlend Shirt is great!!)

More goodness :D These are very welcome features! Btw would it be hard to do at some point that eg. when clicking scene/hitting number with shift down, two presets would be combined? To show use case where this would be needed, I've been making pads with a huge amount of combinations; Riding in storm, Cart in storm, Melee in storm, Marching in storm, Riding in rain, Running cart in rain, Melee in rain, Marching in rain, Riding on windy day, Running cart... and so on. This makes a huge number of scenes to a pad, as I want to be ready for everything when running improvised games. I had thought of making some iframe hack to use multiple pads to help with this, but this kind of feature would work much better. Sorry to throw always something back when you present new magnificent things :D
