Hey there, Oxdarock here!

Just a quick update on what I’ve been up to. Right now, I’m working on the final two pages of funded Squish Drive pictures and should finish them in a few days, so look forward to it! Aside from that, I’ve been thinking of a couple of creative ways to generate income and I’ve settled on a couple of things, both of which are offshoots of the Squish Drives.

Funded Ideas: The SnapBoard

The idea behind this method is for me to put up a bunch of ideas and for people to agree to fund them. It’s similar to how people contributed to the Squish Drive in which they’d contribute to reach a milestone, after which I’d draw the picture. The main difference would be that I’d charge by the hour, so it’d be like a commission, but I’d have complete control of what’s drawn. What’s more, unless I decide otherwise, I’d also include such ideas in an image pack (mainly the Snapzine), in order to sell later down the line.

So, how do I sell people on this idea? By only charging for the sketch and line art. If you were to take my $15 per hour pricing and compare it with the drawing time for most of my artwork where I apply my full shading technique, it’s about the same as cutting the price in half. I’d also provide a free copy of whatever image pack the picture is featured in to the commissioner. Essentially, rather than making content and hoping for a return from store sales, I’d like for people to provide me a bit of backing so I feel more secure. That isn’t to say that I won’t even draw the ideas listed, only that providing funds would give me a bit more urgency to do them.

Tip Jars: Snap Tips

This is pretty self explanatory. I’d like to open up some tip jars to anyone who wants to throw a bit of extra money my way. However, I’d like to go about it in manner in which people have something to work towards, again, similar to the Squish Drives (the Walk of Change in particular). That said, when thinking of themes for the tip jars, rather than feel it out to see how they do, I figured I’d do three at once. The themes: Hexafusion, PokeGTS, and TF Roulette! I plan to approach them all in a similar manner to the Walk of Change. Hopefully, they’ll be simple enough to understand (although admittedly, the third one might be the most complicated).

Anyway, that’s what been on my mind as of late. Just some ways to creatively earn an income while continuing my own projects. I'll work on setting them up as I finish these next couple of pictures. Hopefully, people will be receptive of them. On a side note, HOLY FUCK, WE CAN RECOMMEND OTHER CREATORS ON PATREON?! LET’S FUCKING GOOO!!!

That’s all for now!
