About the age thing, manga readers have know Erza was 19 since chapter 30 because the chapter covers gave profiles to most of the Fairy Tail guild members. For context, chapter 30 is back in Deliora's arc when Natsu is turned into a ball of ice. For our main cast, Gray is 18, Lucy is 17, Happy is 6, and Natsu is technically unknown because he was raised by a dragon and they did not keep track. Let me know if you want to know the others. I found it very amusing how glad you were that Erza's old friends were not joining the guild XD I'm going to be careful with how I word this to not spoil things. In both the show and manga we go straight from hand reaching out to Natsu holding Erza in the ocean with no in between or explanation. Lucy does tell us what Erza thinks happened, but that doesn't focus on exactly how Natsu got her. After I first watched the episode, I assumed the scene at the start was a vision given to Erza on what would happen if she *did* actually die.
