Hello everyone,

Some info today - sorry for taking a while longer than expected, I am ending up doing more than expected haha. I am completely revamping the fertility system. I didn't expect to do that before v3, but turns out that to do miscarriages quite the way I want to, I need to do it now. 

1. In addition to the different levels of potential health risk of a pregnancy, auto assignment of fertility levels within ranges per sim based on age, and the auto diminishing of fertility upon getting older (both of these are optional), now you will also be able to set fertility by the exact percent, and not in 10% brackets. For those who use my Cyclical fertility option - this now will be going up and down from the baseline of the individual sim, therefore being also specific to each sim. Oh, also! The impregnators will also be able to have varying degrees of fertility (albeit simpler-made for now, with not a 100 choices but 5 levels at the moment) and that will be taken into account also when trying to cause a pregnancy. This will of course be expanded when I work on v3 and adding fertility problems and diagnosis etc etc.

 This is as realistic as I can make it I think! I hope you will like it. This will open room for more fertility additions to come such as fertility changes due to life stuff etc etc and we are going towards a more dynamic system - but right now I'm just setting the bases as miscarriages is the focus. My hopes are for much more to come with these fertility things and the health aspects of pregnancy - but when the time comes. Lots of other gameplay elements to also make in the meantime.

2. In addition to fertility revamp and miscarriages and riskiness of pregnancy, I am also adding in two little features of pregnancy-related family gameplay that have been very highly requested. I am doing those now because they require me to add to certain old files that I also need to revisit for the miscarriage stuff, so it is easier to change them only once and not twice. These are little things as you will see, but since they were so often requested, I hope you will like them (yes I am being mysterious eheh).

3. Last but not least - for the miscarriages, the biggest thing that I still have to do is triggering a chance of miscarriage upon certain situations or events, but most of everything else is done. After that is done and the fertility revamp finished, I will be ready to put the beta in my game, witness all the things that work, don't work or were done wrong, fix them up, send to testing, and release. :)

I am hoping to finish the fertility revamp tomorrow. From there, one more day should hopefully be it to have all the miscarriage stuff and start 'debugging' it.


I'm excited about all this and especially about being able to take the time I need to do this well. I have been feeling under a rush constantly for most of my modding time, but as of now I am trying to just give myself the time I need to make the thing I'm trying to make, because I think the clarity of mind and quality or reach of what I can achieve is higher this way. I still feel bad about delaying but I hope you see the advantage as well in the coming results.

Reading through these updates makes me more and more excited for what’s to come. This is an essential mod for my gameplay, and all the hard work you’ve put in has done so much to enhance our games and the community. I really appreciate all the time and care you’re devoting to this, and please know it means the world that you’re committed to doing your best :)

Thank you for all that you do! This may be a silly question, but will this be compatible with Healthcare Redux? I have that mod as well and I know that there are certain pregnancy complications that can occur, but I’m not sure about miscarriages. So I guess I’m asking if a sim experiences a pregnancy complication included in HCR, will it interact with your mod and maybe increase the likelihood of miscarriage? Again, sorry if this was a stupid question!

At the moment there are no interactions positive or negative, but adeepindigo and I are in good terms and talk about integration and compatibility when needed so once all is done here I can look into this and discuss. She knows from before that I was going to make complications of my own and post pregnancy recovery system and etc etc and that's been fine with both of us that there may be a bit of overlap between us, but I will try to integrate where I can and not do much repeats etc etc. But I'm not there yet. For miscarriage, I will discuss with her when I am done making them if she is interested in my mod taking into account some of her stuff, I'll have to check first as I am not aware of exactly what's in her mod. :)

Hello! Love your mods!! So I have updated my mod from March 3rd and have a teen pregnancy in my storyline. The parents went straight to angry from discovering teen pregnancy, but I wasn't given the option for them to react. I do have WW if that helps.

does this work with wicked whims? will we need to change a setting in WW to use your fertility rates?

My system can't apply to WW interactions, just Woohoo and game. If someday Turbo wants to discuss integration, we'll see, as that may be possible but I can't speak for another person, so the baseline is, as always up until now, my stuff can only apply to game stuff because WW is not my mod and therefore I have no ground to modify or impact it and its processes :) My system can apply to the game stuff even when WW is installed if that's what you so wish though

Not related to this update, is possible add a away to not tell the father of pregnancy so child/parent have no relationship, but have option to tell later...kind of how adoption works?

Very excited about this! 😍 Just a little idea...would it be maybe possible in future to change the fact that human sims can give birth to supernatural babies without complications? For example vampires. I think it's sad that EA/ Maxis just ignored this fact. Or maybe someone alredy know a mod to fix this/ make it more realistic?
