Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to episode 11 of Frieren!  OMG!!!!!  I loooove Kraft!!!!
And I loved this episode so much!  From Stark's silly cuddling moment, to getting to know another elf, to feeling a little vindicated for how done I am with winter in my own life haha!!
It was really interesting to see the concept of heaven through the eyes of another elf.  And of course, we got some great flashbacks to link everything together!  I think we should all give Frieren a lot of credit for trying really hard in the snow even when we know how she hates the cold!  Even though she did have to be carried most of the way :P  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

I actually like Winter as a season, but nobody likes blizzard conditions. For a Texan, I'm atypically resistant to the cold compared to most other people I know around here. I joke that I must be secretly part Canadian. The coldest I've ever been was visiting Saint Petersburg, Russia in March...with ice floes still in the Neva River. Heavy wool coat, heavy sweater, flannel shirt, t-shirt....and the wind still knifed right through me. It was miserably cold and you didn't want to stay out in it any longer than was necessary. It's so funny Fern would rather brave the cold than share an emergency shack with a half-naked muscle bound Elf man. Luckily Frieren prevails on her to be sensible, and they lend their magic to start a fire for Kraft & for them all. Kraft generously lends his body heat to warm up the exhausted Stark, which is part of survival protocol...no time for embarrassment or fretting over personal space when lives are at stake. Kraft's rationale for believing in the Goddess mirrors that of Heiter & Eisen....they believe because they need for it to be true. Frieren remains more coldly analytical, noting the lack of evidence that the Goddess has had any impact on the living world for quite some time. Kraft is amused and says he used to think this way, and that Frieren thinks this way because, in Elf terms, she's still relatively young, just now entering her Elf adulthood. She was still basically an adolescent and emotionally stunted when she initially traveled with the Party of Heroes.

OMG you're a Texan? I lived in Houston for 4 years!!! That's great that you deal with the cold well though. Hahaha! Whoa, I bet that was a whole different level of cold! It's the wind that can make it feel so awful! Hahahha I know, Fern was like NOPE :P That's so true, the body heat thing is an actual thing!! It's kinda crazy to think that Frieren is relatively young for an elf, or at least that there's someone who's significantly older than her anyway. It really puts things in perspective!!!

Wait! I just notice! The one who voice Kraft is Takehito Koyasu, the one who voiced Dio from Jojo, Clayman from Tensura, Zeke Jaeger from AoT, and Toji Fushiguro from Jujutsu Kaisen!

I know, isn't that wild!!!! That's why I had to stop and just talk about Dio for a second during the reaction haha!
