Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to episode 6 of Frieren!  OMG!!!!!!!!!  I knew it!!!  What a beautiful message about fear holding you back from your true potential!  Stark is a total boss!!!
He didn't even realize he'd taken the dragon out :O  And Eisen's reaction wasn't at all what he thought it was!  I'm happy to have him as part of our crew, he's a nice contrast for sure!  And I love that he's trying to have his adventure so that he can share the stories with Eisen - just the way that Fern was trying to become a mage before Heiter died!  And it's so hilarious that Frieren had all the clout she needed to get past the checkpoint the whole time haha!!!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

As the “catching up” project continues, hopefully without more incidents - I’ll point out this episode is a lot more about paying off stuff we set up previously. The highlight, of course, is Stark’s battle with the dragon - a battle so fierce that he doesn’t even realize he’s won as his instinct takes over. A lot of “normal” people don’t think they’re good at something - until they’ve actually realized it. You can apply that to dragon slaying, or stuff more mundane. I mean, as a side example, people always told me how well I was at picking up music by ear and playing it - but to me, it just seemed like a normal thing. Stark’s fear isn’t cowardice, it’s intelligence. As in, “things will go terrible if I mess this up.” You knew the spell about seeing through clothes was going to come back but… wow, Fern… that’s breaking all sorts of barriers. Not to mention a little hurtful. I think calling Frieren the ultimate introvert almost sums her up completely. I’d also notice while she would’ve been perfectly happy chilling for two years, it really bothered Fern and Stark - so they both tried to find a way through. The elf’s concept of time passing is still quite dense. Of course, she could’ve made this a lot easier if she’d just said who she was - but then, she wouldn’t be Frieren. Also yes, her dropping the book is a meme, which I’ll have to send to you. PS: I should remind you again to pay a little closer attention to the translation in the ending song lyrics and what it’s applying to - the opening theme is coming but it’ll be a few weeks. But there will come a point when it changes, and you don’t get that opportunity anymore. That takes care of Thursday’s reactions…. Gotta move on.

Thanks for checking back in on what you missed!!! There was lots of payoff for sure. That's such a good point about Stark not being totally aware of just how powerful he is. Sometimes we underestimate ourselves based on what's normalized for us I guess! Hahahaha the see-through spell was, erm, quite the scene haha! I'm glad you agree about Frieren being the ultimate introvert! She still has no concept of time too. So true, that would call a lot of attention to her and take away from her spell collecting time. Hahaha I'd love to see the meme! Ohhh ok, I'll start paying closer attention! I already filmed this week's so don't look for it in tomorrow's reaction lol.

Ship it.....as soon as she told Frieren that he was no good when they first met i Fern and Stark to get married. I ship Frieren and Himmel like everyone too, but that will now have to wait a few centuries. Besides there really isn't any other characters to ship in this show. At least not yet anyway
