Hey everyone!  Here I am with season 1, episode 10 of Camp Camp!!!  This one was too funny!  I love trying to figure out magic tricks so I kinda get where Neil was coming from, but dang....either there was some substantial magic undoing of that disgusting scarf gagging stuff, or everyone was in on it the whole time!  We'll never know I guess!!  Also I'm not sure if Max was in on it cause he seems pretty traumatized!!!!  Great ep, enjoy!  ~ MH

Not Harrison’s whore mouth. Miles as “Rob Ross” was so perfect. I couldn’t take it 😆 That’s right sometimes you just have to believe and not think too hard. I have to believe! 🪝

LOL that line was so good and unexpected!!! Hahahahaha wasn't that amazing?! That's right, just believe ^_^

I love episode 9 & 10. Seeing the results of all the different camp activities they do during the week it doesn’t seem like it goes very well LOL. I love that Scotty from comedy camp is introduced simply for the joke of bleeping out Nurf cursing up a storm. Honestly Gwen feels very relatable with all her stress this episode with needing to do this behavioral correction camp to avoid losing her job. Honestly having someone as nice as David having to be harsh & stern with a bully is a brilliant concept for an episode in a show like this especially like you said with an amazing performance like Miles was giving us. I love how Max was all in on helping with this simply to show that he’s the worst one in the camp & no one else. There just being silence and then the stab from Nurf is the funniest shit I swear. Even if it’s not true I think Max insulting Gwen shows that it’s unfortunately easy to figure out what will insult her. That Doctor Who reference is wild but understandable because that happens all the time with any fandom. It’s funny but also sweet that even when David tries to be mean he ends up being nice. Then we get to the wildly/surprisingly serious & self aware dialogue from Nurf & I think Max summed it up correctly by saying it’s fucked up. I like the way Gwen comes up with her own plan of action to understand Nurf with psychology. I do have to agree with Max if you aren’t planning on going further into a psychological field a psychology degree is most likely practically useless besides learning interesting stuff sadly. I love Miles delivery of the put the knife down line it’s the way his voice gets higher pitched LOL I like the psychology montage although when it comes to the image psychology moment yeah there are some things you probably don’t want to analyze too deeply. The moment of David ending up being psycho analyzed by Nurf is ridiculous & I love it. I like how at some point Max just gets popcorn in my opinion because he was like this is just entertaining and interesting at this point LMAO. I love that the show goes the more realistic route of even though Nurf has made progress because he’s a kid he makes the really wrong decision of wanting to kill his dad and going into rage mode. I like the meta line from Max wondering where Nurf gets all his knives. I think the subversion of David wanting to use a hug to solve things ending with him hitting Nurf is great honestly. The really wrong/messed up lesson/moral that the episode ends on is hilarious especially because of the performance/delivery of everyone involved & the line from Max at the end is wild. Although I guess there is discussion to be had about how to discipline kids and what is and isn’t the right way to do it? I feel pretty bad for David at the end but it is really funny LOL. I agree I’m glad they want a more interesting route with Nurf. Also I enjoyed your anecdote about working at a summer camp. I like how with the rest of the season episode 10 gives us a focused look at another camper this time with Harrison the magician who might actually be magic. I love how we get more of a look at Neil as well in a nicely integrated way with it being a science/skeptic vs magic/believer episode. The magic trick Harrison does to prove that magic is real at the start is ridiculous & insane especially the objects that Max is coughing up that a body really shouldn’t. The delivery does a good job showing that Max was traumatized by this. The cut away to someone being kept awake by something when they said they wouldn’t is a classic but even though you can see it coming it happening to Neil is still funny. Neil is especially hilarious in this episode going full conspiracy scientist mode with the blackboard & everything. Neil’s VA performance is probably what makes me laugh the most this episode even with the other funny stuff going on. Yeah with how he was acting it doesn’t seem like Max was in on the trick. This is 1 of the episodes where you just feel bad for Max for having to deal with some trauma as well as Neil not empathizing much. I love how if it’s something she thinks is cool Nikki is immediately hype/excited and really interested in it like with magic this episode it’s really endearing. And it’s nice how willing she is to help her friends when they ask. I love all the references to different magic stories with what Harrison is teaching her like HP. Neil was already going crazy but the perceived insult to his intelligence from Harrison about being able to understand his trick if you are smart enough made him go from crazy to completely unhinged. Yeah Nikki is like when people compare characters to golden retrievers just more feral LOL. It was a little terrifying to see Neil willing to go to extreme lengths to show that science can explain everything especially with the harmful results. Yeah the whore mouth line surprises everyone it’s hilarious with an amazing delivery. I love the interlude of David & Gwen watching the equivalent of Bob Ross & I also think it’s hilarious that the name in the show is Rob Boss. The fact that what happens to Nikki was all part of Harrison wanting to prove a skeptic wrong. Either Nikki is invincible and I mean she’s tough but I think that’s unlikely or we just have to trust Harrison says “it’s magic silly boop” which does not please Neil LOL. I get wanting to know how the trick worked but I agree I like that it’s left a mystery. Awesome reaction & thoughts. Keep up the great work. :-) <3

This is another favorite from season one, Neil just shoving the scarves down Nicki’s throat and then her being fine for a second cracks me up. Also Harrison seems to actually be magic, cause when he made the rabbit disappear in the mascot episode and David told him to bring it back he said “I don’t know how, this is kinda why I’m here.” 🤣

kamenriderhime

LOL!!!! It's so crazy!!! Yeah I started putting it together later on that these aren't exactly your average magic tricks....rather, Harrison seems to be a bit unique :P

kamenriderhime

This was a certainly a fun episode! It was great to focus on Harrison and Nikki continues to be amazing! The trick remains a mystery!
