Hey everyone!  Here I am with season 1, episode 8 of Camp Camp!!!  Oh man, our campers really got into it deep this time didn't they???  It seemed like David had really snapped this time...but to be honest, I think Max would have preferred that to what was actually going on lol.  Leave it to David to using camping to take a break from camp!!!  What a guy!  I also loved Neil at the electronics store, treating all the old tech like it was child's play, and poor Nikki dying without nature!!!  Fun stuff!!!  Great ep, enjoy!  ~ MH

“I’ve got four seasons to learn this…!” Actually it’s 3 1/4 now. Better get cracking! …can we talk about Gwen’s taste in “literature?” I’m concerned… Although, she is correct that Fire Safety and Political Awareness Camp probably shouldn’t be held together. Have you kept up to date on the Farmers Almanac? If you think 72 and 73 are something, wait till you get to 1977… 🤭 If Neil gets this crazy around a country backwoods electronics store, we probably should keep him away from Best Buy… Nikki gets this sick when in “town…” which is basically one street, so city life is a scary thought for her… she was having an allergic reaction even to the air conditioner. To Max: “You! Never come back!” To Nikki: “Come back when you’re 18!” Me: “Come back when you’re voicing Winter, she wouldn’t have to put up with this!” By the way, the name of the hardware store was Atlas Hardware. Remind you of anything? And it seems David snapped so much from camp he had no choice but to… camp camp? In some ways he’s your spirit animal I think. Look me in the eye and tell me you didn’t get destroyed by certain reactions you filmed and then immediately went to watch another show off camera to recover from watching said show? Yeah, it’s like THAT. 😁

Definitely agree. Though I understand his frustration with feeling trapped Max also needs to learn a thing or two. Plus I just love David. He really is the best. He just loves nature. And he’s really sweet for wanting them to enjoy it just as much as him. This is Max’s punishment for messing with him last episode. 📱

Yeah, like I get it but I don't mind seeing him humbles either! I love David too, he really is the best!!!! He's just so wholesome with like no catch whatsoever. And so true that he wants to share all this love of nature with them too. Serves Max right for sure!!!

Oohhhh I do need to put a move on it don't I! Hahah hey at least she's reading :P And yeah, not sure about those two camps being lumped together. OMG will the Farmers Almanac joke be back with info on 1977? Cause I'd be down for that! Awww poor Nikki, she just needs to be one with nature! LOL omg so true, Winter would have made short work of this! I noticed the name Atlas, hmmmm :P I think David is for sure my spirit animal!!! Hahahahahahaha omg nooooo you're so right, my medicine for being hurt by shows is MORE of that show :O I am David!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like literally, the "sicker" Nikki gets, the more "girly" her appearance....David setting up camp cured her and she's back to her old ruffian self.

I guess there are some episodes of this show that I like/love less but for the most part I love most episodes a lot. I love how the writers embrace/really lean into the things people associate with/stereotypes about theater kids like being really dramatic and intense when it comes to Preston while not making him annoying or unlikable. And it paid off with the amazing jokes/moments around his character. And of course his last name is Goodplay LOL. I love the voice acting for Preston the VA does a great job with the drama & intensity the screaming quality to the voice makes it funnier. Honestly you saying oh dear is a good summary of Max Messing with David’s Tinder. Sometimes Nikki says things like the Juliet comment and you just kinda have to go she has a point. I love how absolutely ridiculous the plot of this Romeo & Juliet sequel is with a zombie Juliet, a dark wizard, a mad scientist Friar Lawrence and a robot Romeo (love the Star Wars reference LOL). Tabii being involved leads to really unhinged stuff. Also the close up on the sweat moment feels very SpongeBob. Preston’s “I don’t know who this B is but she is killing it” is 1 of my favorite lines in the entire show it’s just that amazing LMAO. Bonquisha is a wild character. Obviously being very sexual is fine it’s just that being so out there about it is a little surprising. Also damn Tabii is kind of a savage huh? Gwen encouraging & loving drama and violence will never not be funny to me and it makes an amount of sense because it seems like it would get boring as a counselor at a camp like this. Also her kick his ass line is hilarious. I like the accuracy of what a kid would search for online it kills me. Even though Max hates David and this camp it seems like he draws the line at getting David arrested which I like. The agents just accepting David’s is amazing and of course the picture of Cameron is of him burning evidence LOL. I love how nonchalant Max is about what he did. At least David got a date out of this, I guess? A big thing I was feeling this episode was bad for Neil’s anxiety & Preston’s play not being appreciated. Because even though it wasn’t a good play it was very entertaining. I love the next episode as well. Honestly politics get complicated & heated with adults so it’s not surprising it’s worse when trying to teach kids about it especially with just one person & fire starting supplies. Yeah it looks like Gwen is into “spicy” literature LOL. It’s pretty impressive that Max is able to come up with a complex conspiracy theory just to mess with Space Kid. You know I can appreciate David liking what he likes even if it’s boring like with the Farmer’s Almanac. I have to say Max losing his mind over David being so normal & happy with no chinks in the armor so to speak is entertaining. The kids were hoping to get to the city unfortunately the only place close to camp is a very small town. Also the idea of a mayor outlawing fun is wild. I don’t have much to say about Neil’s side plot but it’s impressive that he’s so smart he’s able to fix electronics so easily that he gets a job with benefits. I love that the picture Nikki shows the bartender is of a Shoujo David it’s cute & hilarious. All of the misunderstandings from Max are really funny and I shouldn’t laugh at his panic about David potentially killing him is so dark it’s funnier. Also that moment at the club sure is something oh dear LMAO it’s bad but well-written. I like how this gives us some insight into Max with his whole speech about what he wants to do to David which gets really existential there for a 2nd which is interesting. Also Nikki being negatively affected physically by being away from nature is insane especially her hair literally changing but it is weirdly funny because it’s absurd. To be honest considering what we have seen of him it makes sense that David would relax by going camping LOL. I do love the delivery of Max’s rage at this knowledge. Awesome reaction & thoughts. Keep up the great work. :-) <3

I think this is telling that it’s been too long since I’ve watched this show, I can’t believe I forgot this episode too! Gwen at the beginning is great XD

Yeah, I like that they gave the spotlight to some of the other campers besides the core three. It's been a lot of fun watching them flesh out the characters! Preston and his play were great!
