Hey everyone!  Here I am with season 1, episode 6 of Camp Camp!!!  Guys.....WHAT DID I JUST WATCH?!?!?!?!  You were right to warn me, jeez!!!!  Oh man, they just really went there with all the word plays, etc....!!!  Meanwhile poor David is really trying to keep it together, to avoid a "Chucky" situation.  Are we ever gonna get to see poor Chucky?  Maybe it's for the best if we don't....!!!  This one was.....WOW....!!!  I still can't believe they did this lol but dang, there it is!!!  What an ep, enjoy!  ~ MH

Oh gosh lol that was dark but it had me chuckling 🤭 It’s witty okay. I can appreciate the dark humor and satire. I actually liked the kid. Idk how far this goes in terms of character but he seems to have no malice or hostility so far; he just happens to have an uncanny likeness. 🤦‍♂️ Compared to last eps ending this was delightful in manner of speaking 🤐

LOL it was sooooo wrong right!!!! I mean, to be fair, the kid really wasn't doing anything wrong....it was just the.....timing of the comedy that had me facepalming :P LOL the ending was way less traumatizing for sure!!!

I’m glad you are enjoying this show this much. And yeah that Nora born in Atlas comment is great. I love how even when David is trying to be scary his story is wholesome. I think the premise of Max not being afraid of anything and wanting to prove there is nothing scary very entertaining. Also the repression comment is crazy. I love how wrong and suspicious Quartermaster is with the things he says it’s funny because the show is being upfront about it LOL. You know it makes sense that someone like Max would look at nothingness as something to look forward to. I did not know what a Theremin was before I watched this episode so I learned about a new instrument thanks to this show. The ghost kid’s name is actually Jasper but it’s meant to sound and make you think of Casper so your mispronunciation is completely fine. I love how Max is constantly showing that scary stuff is just normal, mundane stuff even not being afraid of much crazier stuff. And we get learn more about Neil he believes science has limits. I love that you paused to look at all the references in the background of the science lab. The wildest thing there to me is the taking a cartoon seriously it’s so funny. I like how even when Nikki is freaked out she’s not that scared of things until she sees the torture chamber. I feel that bad for her but the way the voice actor says I don’t want to be here is amazing. Also you missed it but Neil quietly says dear fucking Lord seeing the chamber which I find hilarious. Learning that Campbell is not a good person is surprisingly not surprising LOL. Yeah Max is 10 so even if he knows about sex no one is prepared to see stuff like he did here so it’s not surprising he was terrified that scream is perfect. I don’t think people should be shamed for what they are into but I don’t need to see it you know. Honestly the censorship makes it funnier. Finally Jasper is revealed to be a ghost which was constantly hinted at and obvious with him making references and talking about things not from the modern-day as well as using some slang from the 90s I believe. Yeah I understand why a warning was necessary for episode 6 with the content. I do feel bad that you were so uncomfortable. Although this episode was meant to make people uncomfortable with a lot of it. I think the kind of jokes that are similar to or are like Hitler jokes are less funny in of themselves in my opinion except maybe with the shock value but the funny part is the reaction of the characters who realize how messed up all the Dolph stuff. You really feel bad for David because if anyone deserves that award it’s him at least when it comes to hard work he really needs a win LOL. The athletic playground he created is impressive it’s too bad about the rain. I love that the saying is literal in this episode with it raining cats and dogs it’s cute. Also it’s fair that Gwen was angry at David for trying to ignore her. David pretending that everything is fine especially as things get more concerning is hilarious because of the animation but especially the voice acting. I like that Max & Nikki want to play game because they are bored because it shows them as kids. It’s crazy how fast things escalate from David just wanting a trophy & Max and Nikki wanting to find Neil. I love the segment of Nikki wanting to be the bad cop but having no idea how especially the mixed up word albino LOL. I love the running joke of even the judges note taking escalating. Nikki acting the part of the “Lassie” is adorable. The entire episode is pretty wrong but the jokes at the end are the worst in terms of wrongness especially the word play. The craziest thing is that Dolph is not malicious at all. I think the joke at the end which doesn’t mean anything for the show in general is that Nikki is psychic. Also it’s wild that the show just directly pointed out the joke at the end there. I personally think jokes should be made about dark/controversial stuff but I do believe there’s a right/not tasteless and wrong way of doing it. It is totally valid to not like those kinds of jokes and be uncomfortable with them as well though very understandable on your end. Awesome reactions & sometimes nervous thoughts. :-) <3

Normally I don’t tolerate these kinds of jokes, but the way this episode just goes all in, over the top actually makes it funny to me. It’s just complete nonsense, and then Nikki is so blunt about it at the end! 🤣

Yeah, this was such an awkward episode to react to, knowing how sensitive people can be on these topics! I appreciate that it was so over the top! Nikki though!! LOL!!
